Pardon me if I am posting in the wrong area.

I signed up with the FSP ages ago. I recall the fight for choosing a state. I voted for Montana. I dismissed the idea as a pipe dream about a year later. I just wanted to check back in and find out how the movement was doing.

I do still plan on honoring my agreement to move when we hit 20,000, but we're not even half way there yet. Do we have a chance? I noticed the website membership statistics don't seem to be being updated. What's up with that?

I also noticed that the founder stepped down. What was that about?

I see some people have moved already. Are FSPers being received well?

I have a million more questions, but if someone could help me with some of these I would be most grateful.

founder smounder.  Why not come at the halfway point?  It's 27 people away or so and you can help!

It's fun here in NH.  Lots of room.  Good people.  Lots of activism, so much that it's hard to get to all of them.  You'd be welcomed as I was with open arms.

This may just be a timing issue.  They just released a new version of the FSP website about a week ago, and I saw someone comment on an issue with the signup statistics.  I'm sure that will be fixed soon, if it hasn't been already.  The current official membership count is almost 10,000.  Or if by membership statistics you mean the FSP forum thread that used to show where new members were coming from on a monthly basis, that's probably due to a lack of a volunteer to keep it going.  I did it for a year, a few other people have done it.  But if nobody volunteers to do it, it doesn't get done.

Maybe ask him that?  I dunno.  Jason Sorens served on the Board of the FSP for several years; he's certainly under no obligation to do it for the rest of his life.  Maybe he's working on other projects now.

Hundreds of us have moved over the past 6 years; it's hard to give a brief, accurate answer to that question.  I suggest spending some time on this forum, the FreeKeene forum and the FSP forum, and drawing your own conclusions.  The best short answer I can give is some people are happy to have us here, others are not.

Hope this helps, and glad to see that you are taking another look at New Hampshire.

at this rate the fsp will hit 20000 in another 10 years
people are moving and some never sign upped .... so it is too late, this thing is happening
it is a good sign to me that jason is stepping back, he seemed to be gettting influenced by his university and our movement is getting defined by its radical members
you should join us if you want to change the world ... some of us are already trying

Seriously.  He started out sane, but something seemed to snap.  Now he's supporting every sort of socialism imaginable.  It's very good that he stepped down, as he was driving away potential movers in droves.

Rosalee Babiarz has started the anti-bird movement in NH.  It's really happening!

Are you calling me incompetent?

Because if I hated birds and wanted the earth hotter, bats would rule the sky, and folks would need to use saunas to cool off!

Yes, droves.

And stop insulting clowns like that...

I just eat food.  Food eats plants.  So I'm only an indirect plant terrorist.
