On the flip side... This doesn't necessarily mean he was playing cops and robbers or cowboys and indians, like we did back in the day. In some segments of society today, that gesture is meant as an explicit threat. Even if he didn't mean it that way, some kids might perceive it that way.

Many inner-city kids adult "role models" don't care to "teach" kids, but the kids certainly learn from their negative examples. That's why you have 5 year olds taking guns to school to show off, then the world is aghast that the child lives in a drug house.
