The Spring 2010 Free Keene Fest is coming soon: Sunday, April 18!
The Spring 2010 Free Keene Fest has been postponed to: Sunday, April 25! (rain or shine - so I hope it shines)

It's time to start planning. Actually, it's probably past time to start planning, but I was trying to see if anyone in the Keene area wanted to take over organizing this event and no one did, so I'm doing it again but I'm starting a little late.

Please contact me (admin@freekeenefest.com or (248) NO-STATE {that's 248-667-8283}) if you would like to volunteer to be an exhibitor, or if you know a liberty-oriented organization that should be represented, or if you would like to sell something, or if you would like to perform music, or if you can volunteer your tables and chairs and gazebo-tents, or if you want to volunteer to put up flyers around Keene, or if you have any ideas or suggestions for this festival.

What time should the festival be? Should it last until 4:20, or otherwise be linked to the 420 event? Should we have a picnic afterwards (and what if it's a rainy day, again?)?

Thanks for your participation!

We are starting another donation drive to pay bands to perform at the Free Keene Fest on Sunday, April 18. Please ChipIn if you'd like to help assure that we have live bands at the Spring 2010 Free Keene Fest.

Thanks!

Ofer, in the seacoast area, has an "Operation Politically Homeless" kit that he no longer wants. Does anyone want to take it from him (for free) to use in the future - including at the Free Keene Fest?

The Liberty Bus will be making the journey from Manchester to the Free Keene Fest! Round-trip bus fare is only $10! They need a minimum of 12 passengers or they won't make enough to cover their costs - so sign up now! Contact Mark Warden (or me) if you want to reserve your spot on the party-ing-est Liberty Bus ever, to get to the Free Keene Fest on April 18.

The fall Free Keen Fest was awesome despite the rain and cold!

Awesome people were doing awesome things and selling awesome goods! If I had stock of product, I'd be a vendor there but I won't have it until Porcfest. :(

Go to the Free Keene Fest!

We have received $120 in donations to pay three bands to perform live at the Free Keene Fest on Sunday. Thank you so much!

But that's only about $10 per person for each band member. I hope we can raise some more in this last week. If you'd like to donate to the live music fund, please ChipIn here: http://is.gd/bpIsE (even though ChipIn incorrectly shows there are no donations, we do receive the donations). Or you can contact me personally (admin@freekeenefest.com) and donate via cash, silver, PayPal, etc.

Thank you!

Can you please contact me (admin@freekeenefest.com) if you have folding tables, chairs, or canopies you can volunteer for use at the Free Keene Fest this Sunday? I need to get a measure of how much table space we have and still need. Also, please let me know if you can bring them to the festival at 11:00a yourself, or if you need me to arrange to pick them up and drop them off.

Thanks!

The Spring 2010 Free Keene Fest has been postponed due to weather. It will now be held on Sunday, April 25 from 11:00a until 4:00p.

The FKF will happen on April 25 rain or shine! (so I hope it shines)

I'm very sorry for this inconvenience. :(

I changed the original post to reflect the new information.

Thanks for the update.  It is hard to organize things and to make such decisions.  Thanks for organizing the event and I fully support your tough decision.  I'll continue to support you even if the 17th in a warm 70 with no wind or rain and the 25th is an ice storm  ;)

Shire Agorists were going to meet at FKF, so will probably bump back to the 25th, too

The Free Keene Fest was postponed until 4/25/10 (this Sunday!) - this gives us time to raise more for the bands. We have some awesome bands for this event. They deserve to get paid! I hope y'all will donate. http://freekeenefest.chipin.com/fkf-band-fund-extension

The Liberty Bus will still be a mobile-party between Manchester and the Free Keene Fest on Sunday, April 25. Contact Mark Warden (or me @admin@freekeenefest.com) to reserve your space!

Before the pic loaded I thought I'd bring the hamburger buns.
Porc. Rounds sound delicious.  ;D

There will be both inexpensive silver and inexpensive palladium at the Free Keene Fest.  If you weren't planning on going, it may be worth the trip for you just to take advantage of these specials.
