I've traveled the country for over 8 years using groups like www.CouchSurfing.org     
I   Started a FSP group   but had no time for spreading the info.

Starting a Activist group should be easy, it's trying to let people know about it and to sign up.

I'm sorry I didn't see this thread until now - I had very limited 'net access on the road.

Thank you all for your support, even from so far away. I did make it out of Kansas; after that search I drove nonstop (except 1 gas stop) for ~10 more hours, crossed into Colorado, and slept at the first exit. On my trip, I drove through 15 states (and 7 of those I drove through twice), and the only police harassment happened in Kansas (whew!). I know that's only anecdotal and not scientific, but it's noteworthy in my opinion.

@Russell: Cute, but I'm glad we didn't need it!

@Knowaymr: Good idea! I hope you set something up: a forum thread, a website, a Porc411 line (talk to Error), etc. It could be very helpful to wayward porcs, including new movers.
