Oh, You Mean Those Quotas

Turns out the NYPD has official quotas for stop-and-frisks, arrests, etc.  And they downgrade serious crimes or pressure victims to go away, so they can look like they are actually reducing crime.

Okay, we all knew that.  But now they've been caught on tape.

(yeah, it's a story about NYC, but does anyone imagine it's not happening here? wonder if that's why the local cops and prosecutors are so afraid of being recorded?)

I assumed there were quotas, but not for all these things... the whole thing is just gggrrr.
