I've always wanted a real one.  I made one once, but it was crude. I ordered one today:

I had one once. I snapped the blade off playing mumblety-peg at school.

That doubly sucked, because it was my late grandfather's knife.

I was issued two Benchmade Auto-Stryker knives in the Army. It was illegal for me to carry them around for years until now. Which I did anyway of course.

But they're fun.  I think the Microtech LCC was the most interesting one I've owned.

When 'Law and Order' Criminal Intent first aired it was a pretty good show. Once in a while Vincent 'something' , the main detective, would whip out a switchblade, clearly illegal in NY and open an envelope, or something.
