Topless Pinatas in Donna

DONNA - Some parents are upset about X-rated images on display at a busy Donna intersection.

They say topless piñatas are in plain view at a shop on the corner of Val Verde and Business 83. The piñatas characters are positioned in suggestive poses, wearing lingerie and hanging on to stripper poles. They are displayed next to children themed piñatas, such as Batman and Elmo.

Drivers at the intersection are getting an eyeful. Some parents say their children should not have to be exposed to the pornographic party accessories.

Erica Garcia says, "I have kids in the car and I have an 8-year-old little boy and when he saw that, he said, 'Mommy!' So that really freaked me out."

Esmeralda Ruiz and her children have to drive pass the store on the way to their grandmother's house. When they approach the store, she tells her children to look away. Ruiz says, "I always tell them to turn the other way, because I don't want them see that."

A worker at the store says the shop has only been open a month and they have not received any complaints. The man adds the piñatas are big sellers, especially for bachelor parties.

Mom could probably take a different route, or use it as a lesson about bad taste and bad neighbors.

I'd guess that misogynists, misanthropes and other Jack the Riper types need pinatas too.

Not to mention the whole violence to receive candied joy thing.

Maybe I'll make a UN pinata.

Wait... the 8-year-old saw a stripper piñata, and yelled out, "Mommy!," and the woman is freaked out?  I don't think she's freaked out about the piñata... I think she's freaked out because the kid obviously found her "private" photo album...
