Finally, the Board has decided to hire a public relations company for a specific project of developing local media stories. We will need your help to make these stories happen! Some of you will be hearing from us shortly. If you get a message from us about this project, please make yourself available. We are actively considering hiring a public relations firm on a permanent basis to help us improve our messages and create a consistently high level of excitement and interest. This strategy should help us increase recruitment dramatically, getting us ever closer to 20,000 and to liberty in our lifetime.

When you can't imagine an alternative solution to a problem, throw money at it!

I'm happy with the decision. The money is already collected and gathering dust.  Might as well spend it on SOMETHING. We've already tried running ads in various liberty-oriented magazines.  Let's try something new!

I think professional promotion is a good move for the FSP. It complements our more freeform approach. I don't think the press is as dangerous as Jane thinks.

if FSP leadership is left to themselves....they will simply become a modern day version of Alice's Restaurant.

Is that why Arlo is going to be in Concord on Nov 20? ;D

:-)  Well, it's just that every article I've read about the FSP 'abandoning its goal' made it sound like the organization itself was dead and no longer advocating the move, until you read to the end of the piece... but in some cases I still was left with that impression.

Remember, you are approaching the readings from an informed point of view -- whereas I wonder how it appears to the uninformed and downright ignorant.
The press can turn anything around for example, such as making it look like the perpetrator of a crime is the victim and vice versa, as they did in Bedford.

On 10/7/05, as a part of C-SPAN's 25th anniversary, the editor of the Manchester Union-Leader, Joe McQuaid, appeared on-camera to discuss New Hampshire primary politics. In response to a question concerning the changing population of NH over the past two decades, McQuaid ended up noting by name (and at some length) the Free State Project, with fairness, accuracy, and ? indeed it seemed ? warm approval. The hostess interjected some recognition of the movement as well.

So now it is fair and accurate to say the FSP wants to "take over the government" and to say "They claim to have candidates in municipal elections"?

The FSP leadership talks out of both sides of their mouths. What assholes.

I did not hear Joe say anything like that on that clip? The FSP is of no importance when speaking of the candidates, but what their opinions are of the different issues, is.

Perhaps you should have asked for a clarification of what I said, not stooped to the level of name-calling since that sort of negates anything worthy that might have been gleaned from your argument? By the way, I know Joe McQuaid and he isn't about to say anything to sabotage the movement.
