Bad news:  WGIN will stop airing Free Talk Live by the end of the month.

Good news:  Their competitor, WTSN's general manager has proposed to the station owner taking Free Talk Live all six nights per week.

Bad news:  WTSN's owner wants to stay sports at night.

Opportunity:  Contact Mark Edwards, WTSN's GM, and tell him you'd like to listen to Free Talk Live on WTSN!  Here's his email address:  mark at 987thebay.com

Remember, Mark is already on our side - you are giving him ammunition to take to the owner in hopes of convincing him to take FTL instead of FOX Sports.  Please take action on this ASAP.

Looks like the GM of WTSN wants to stick with sports at night for now, though your phone calls there can still make a difference.

Sorry to say that this weekend was our last on WGIN AM.  It's not because of anything we did.  They are making some changes involving an FM talker Clear Channel owns in the Seacoast and they have to reconcile their programming.  We're being taken off because other contracts have priority and they just can't keep us there for now.

If you want FTL back on the air on the Seacoast you have a couple of options.

1.  Call WGIN AM program director Jeff Pierce at 625-6915 and tell him you want Free Talk Live back on WGIR.  Jeff is a good guy who is considering bringing us back in January.  Your call may help encourage him to do so.

2.  Do it yourself and launch a micro radio station featuring LRN.FM.  Details on how here at http://Broadcast.LRN.FM

Thanks for your help!
