I have just joined the Next 1000 pledge to move to NH by the end of Sep 2011. I am organizing a caravan, which I call the Next 1000 Liberty Caravan, which I have created an event for on Facebook.

I know this is still a long way away but I don't see any reason to not start getting people on board now.

I posted more about this on the Free State Project Forum.

It's going to be fun helping 1000 people unload their things in to their new homes.  :occasion14: ...:bus:

Only 800. Close to 200 people have signed up  for the Next 1000 and presumably most will have moved before then.

Just adding a dose of realism to your wonderful optimism.

Great idea, Bryce. It'll be good to see you here for good!

I couldn't see any reason to start a new thread.

My Liberty Caravan plans are still set for September. I plan to leave September 7 from visiting family in Colorado, with arrival in New Hampshire set for September 16.

I am looking for people to sign up for the caravan - I don't know if many people who have not moved used this forum but it doesn't hurt to put out the word.

My caravan's website is libertycaravan.org. I plan to post daily updates during the trip. I hope some people will check up on my progress.

On the 16th when I arrive, I would like to have some kind of social gathering / greeting in 2 or 3 locations - Keene, Manchester, and Portsmouth, where I will be working. I plan to post this on FSP and FK forums as well. Does anyone want to greet the Caravan and welcome a group of new movers (I hope it will be a group, no one has signed up to join me yet but a couple from NC may be traveling with me the last day)?

I bet you can plan an event for yourself and some party...ers will show up :)

Yeah, I'll probably do that in a few days, just gauging interest at this point.

I've started creating Facebook events for the meetups I want to have with the Liberty Caravan. So far I've only posted the 4 with the greatest chance of having people come -

Denver on     Sep 7, 7 pm
Chicago on    Sep 12, 7 pm
Keene           Sep 16 noon - 2
Manchester   Sep 16 5-8 pm

I plan to add more along the route of the caravan when I get a chance, but I really need to focus on packing up my stuff the next couple of days.

For the Facebook links, see my Liberty Caravan meetups page: www.libertycaravan.org/Meetup.

Breaking news! Keene event location has been nailed down, it is at the Keene Activist Center.

Six additional meetups planned. These are for smaller cities than the other two I posted outside of NH, but I am hopeful of reaching some people to come to these. If they don't all happen that is fine but I want to meet as many local groups as possible on the Caravan.

Des Moines, IA: Sep 10, 7 - 10 pm. http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=271347812893243
