Three out of 6 meetups so far were busts, but I had people turn out for Denver, Chicago, and Buffalo last night. Rochester and Albany are today, expecting 1 other person at each, then tomorrow noon is my first meetup in NH, in Keene!

I will be in New Hampshire tomorrow, wow!

Russell Kanning

your percentages are better than mine in Dallas :)

brycen

Still about 50%. 1 person came to Albany, no one to Rochester.

Tomorrow at noon I will be in Keene!

Trying to figure out food, since it's a venue that doesn't have its own, the Keene Activist Center.

George Mandrik had earlier offered to help with food but now appears he is unavailable. I was thinking of just ordering pizza, any objections? Also, would need someone to pick up as I will probably arrive right at noon. Unless having deliveries to KAC is cool.

I thought of this yesterday, should have posted here then. Does anyone want to help me celebrate my arrival by meeting me at the Vermont border (will be coming across highway 9, I plan to be in Keene at noon so I should be at the border about 11:30)? If you do that, you can also be considered part of the Liberty Caravan, maybe sign up on the Facebook page for it. http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=135525403138047

I'll buy a Liberty Caravan custom item for the 1st 3 people to sign up for this (T-shirt, hat, mug, etc). Only condition is you have to actually come to the border to meet me.

brycen

Making it clear, you need to sign up on the facebook page (people not on facebook, need to contact me via contact page on libertycaravan.org, or send me a private message on a forum), if you want to be counted as one of 1st three.

brycen

Well, the people-meeting-me-at-the-border thing never happened, it was too short of notice I guess.

Anyway, the other meetups have all happened except for the one in Portsmouth. For a report, see my website, www.libertycaravan.org.

I have decided to reschedule the Portsmouth event, which was supposed to be from 6 - 9 pm tonight at the Coat of Arms in Portsmouth. All other details will remain the same, but I have changed the day to Monday, the 19th.

This is so I don't have to worry about leaving the Boston Freedom Rally aka MassCann before everyone else going down, which would have necessitated me driving there, not really on the top of my Things to Experience list.

Oops. first thing I should have said, is that --  I'm NOW in NEW HAMPSHIRE!

If I was aware ahead of time that you were heading via Albany and looking to meet liberty-types, and I'd have emailed some of the friends I knew from college out that way, they'd probably be able to point a few of the right folks your way to meet up with you ;-)

Btw, congrats on getting to NH... are you going to head up to Grafton to visit (next weekend we have the Apple Festival on Sunday)

brycen

Yes, I am coming next Sunday. I look forward to seeing Grafton again, had a brief visit right after Porcfest 2010.

I take a lot of the blame for not having many people come - most of my meetups were posted only about a week before they occurred, and I was in the middle of moving meaning a lot of the time I was too busy to send messages out, some of the meetups I only invited people to a couple of days before the event. If I do this sort of thing again, I will definitely plan farther in advance.
