Chad Larson, 29, of Newton, N.H., and Seth Sanford, 30, of Merrimac, Mass., were arraigned Monday at Newburyport District Court on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a shod foot, and aggravated assault and battery, the paper reported.

According to Salisbury police, Larson is a full-time police officer in the East Kingston, N.H., Police Department, a part-time officer with the Merrimac Police Department and a reserve officer with the Newburyport Police Department, the paper reported.
