The purpose of this storm is to identify candidates for the office of
Governor in the 2010 New Hampshire general election, and each
candidate's stants on the issues identified in the thread "1.03: The
Issues".

Candidates for Governor of New Hampshire:

  John Lynch (Democrat, incumbent):

    Let's all be equal, and let government pay for it.
    Social liberal, fiscal liberal.

  Jack Kimball (Republican):

    Small business owner.
    Support small business.
    Fiscal conservative.
    Small government.
    Pro-constitution.
    Right to bear arms.
    Supports 10th amendment, opposes "ObamaCare".
    Supports free healthcare for all Veterans.
    Pro-life.
    Supports parental notification concerning healthcare.
    For school vouchers and homeschooling.
    Opposes gay marriage.
    Opposes building a casino.
    Repeal the Busines Enterprise Tax.
    Repeal the Municipal Rooms & Meals Tax.
    Repeal the latest new taxes and fees.
    Promotes energy independence, renewable energy, and nuclear energy.
    Lots of talk, little plan.

  John Steven (Republican):

    Soft-spoken.
    Former head of NH Department of Health and Human Services.
    Ticket Republican.

  Karen Testerman (Republican):

    Head of Cornerstone, a government religious group.
    Wants to make divorce more difficult.

  John Babiarz (Libertarian):
    small government
    individual choice
    individual responsibility
    ran previously (2002?)
    some have issues with his behavior as volunteer Fire Chief in Grafton
