People mostly tell me they like the paper.
I heard several people say that today when Kat was handing them out.

So far the president's approval numbers are at 10% on the Keene Free Press website.

As if the National Average doesn't make him look bad enough!

Wow, the paper's really gathering steam.  We're getting so many people writing to us about it.  Last Christmas I picked up a book of poetry from a Keene writer.  Yesterday she contacted us about the paper, saying how she liked the alternative point of view, and offering her poetry for print :)

Wow, the paper's really gathering steam.

It's only been three issues.. I'm excited to see where you'll be in a year.

Fluff and Stuff

I sent this email to Russell of the KFP and the NYCLP guy-

I just wanted to make sure that you guys knew about each other.  I don't know if you can help each other, but maybe so.

The NYCLP guy looked at the KFP and then sent me this link,

QuoteVery interesting. Thanks for the heads-up.

So, the NYC LP knows about the KFP  ;D

Maybe KFP and the Manhattan publication could share information as a sort of Associated Liberty Press.
Has the KFP website been mentioned on FTL? Maybe you could work out a deal where you both mention each other once a week free of charge as a kind of advertising trade.

FTL_Ian

Russell and I have discussed a trade, but for now that won't be happening as FTL has a much wider reach than the KFP, and therefore it would not be fair to our paying advertisers for us to give away precious airtime or webspace without getting an roughly equal (or better) exposure in return!  We don't mind giving more than we receive, but considering the other trades and paid deals we have, it's just not a good deal for us in this case.  We can only do so many trades.  Right now NHFree.com is my "charity" trade banner.

Think of it this way, a state LP recently approached me and asked for a banner trade.  I said, what if every state LP asked for that?

And yes, the KFP has been mentioned SEVERAL times on FTL.  As I said, I don't mind giving!

Reading the latest issue.. I think you guys should make an effort to have a photo or graphic amongst the articles on the front page.  I think graphics draw people in.

agreed, and I still think the front page should have something local if possible.  Ron paul doesn't belong on the front page he's in tx.   Still think contributors should have some information about them ideally, especially their location, not just their name.

I feel a little uncomfortable offering advice since I'm not offering much work on the KFP's behalf, but I hope this is helpful and not construed as nagging.  I think what you are doing by publishing the paper is just awesome and I wouldn't make suggestions if I didn't think it was super important I wouldn't comment much.

Russell Kanning

lets see.... wanting to list problems with our paper
...2 socialists ladies in Keene think our paper is too "libertarian" and we are naive
...1 guy in FL doesn't like it when we publish letters to the editor from a social democrat
Dada doesn't like Ron Paul articles

Russell Kanning

Yesterday I ran into 2 men at the super 8 reading our paper.
They thought it was "cool" and commented that "we don't have anything like this in Boston". I agreed with them and handed them our latest edition. :)

Lloyd Danforth

Too libertarian?  Won't compute.......won't compute......won't compute.....

Kat Kanning

People are asking for the paper at shops and such, when they run out.

The Sentinel wants to talk to Russell about the paper  >:D
