I've tried to give "Thank You"s to post by clicking the "Thank You" link next to the star on the upper right-hand corner, but nothing happens.   :(

Did you get the "Thank You" message from me?

Hmm...do you have trouble with AJAX on other sites?

I don't know what that is.

I'm using a pretty standard configuration: IE 7 on WinXP.  Sometimes I use Chrome.  When I hover my mouse over the "Thank You" icon, the link seems to just point to the message.  For example, in your post on this thread, it shows:

I don't think so.  Are there messages that go along with Thank Yous?

I can see on posts where Thanks Yous are given, and I've collected a few.  I thought it was similar to karma but a more visible way to mark a particular post as appreciated.

I just gave a Thank You upthread!  I am using Chrome here, so maybe that makes the difference.  When I hover over the Thank You icon, I see action=thankyou in the link, whereas I didn't see that when using IE7.

I've tried giving many thank yous, but the god of thank yous has smitten me.

So if I look stingy on the thank yous...I ain't.

I'm using an old coal fired computer converted to run off methane.  Think Thomas the train has a brain fart to get an idea of the operating system and age of my computer equipment.

No need to solve the problem for me, I'll likely coerce somebody to help me  figure it out, as I have a genetic aversion to learning about computer stuff, I am working with my therapist to resolve this.

Oh....THANK YOU EVERYBODY.   Carry on.
