Over the years vendors have come up with a wide variety of foods to dip in the fryer. Hostess Twinkies, peanut butter, jelly and banana sandwiches, Oreo cookies, cheesecake and even Coca-Cola are among the foods that have been battered and dipped in hot oil.

Last year, the standout item was deep-fried butter—which is exactly what it sounds like.

Among the offerings this year are deep fried S'mores Pop-Tarts, fried Frito pie, fried lemonade, fried salad and Texas fried caviar.

As if that wasn't enough, the article continues, "For those of legal drinking age, the fair's frymasters have a couple of special treats."

One is deep-fried beer. Basically, it's a fried ravioli with beer in the center, Take a bite and guzzle it down.

The other is a deep-fried frozen margarita, which is a funnel cake mixed with tequila and margarita mix, fried up and served in a glass rimmed with salt.

If you haven't stroked out yet (sorry, Pat Mc!), let's try this:

Abel Gonzales Jr., the man behind previous winners fried Coca-Cola and fried peanut butter, jelly and banana sandwiches, as well as last year's winner, deep-fried butter, is back again with a deep-fried chocolate brownie.
