NEW SITE: Creative Writing from the Liberty Community

I posted previously regarding a site I was creating to feature creative writing from folks in the NH liberty movement.  That site is now complete.  I had submissions from 4 people and threw in a story of my own, as well.

A couple of points about building the site.  It was my first ever website, and I realize I'm dealing with a tough crowd, what with every other Porc being involved in some facet of website, computer, networking, or whatever.  So building the site was a learning process, and I'd greatfully accept any pointers or advice.

In trying to make the site look snappy & professional, and also to support liberty sites that I frequent and admire, I put up a bunch of ad banners.  FTL, Ridley Report, NH Free Press, etc.  I don't know if this was bad form or a protocol breach, just throwing people's banners up to decorate my site.  So, if anyone has an issue with my offering free advertising let me know.  I'll pull the ad ASAP.

The site:   NHNovella.com
My contact:  NHNovella@gmail.com

There's a comment section after each story.  The authors would no doubt appreciate any feedback.  And if you have some pre-written stories, gimmee...I need the material.  Or, possibly this will serve as a motivating kick in the arse to some people who have always wanted to write, but never got around to it.

Thanks
Matt

I think its a pretty good start.

I don't see an RSS feed. You should probably have one so people don't have to remember to check the site regularly. There's probably a checkbox or something simple like that in the site configuration.

You may also want to look into setting up a newsletter. You could make it look sort of magazine-like and output it monthly with all the new articles for that month; emailing it to subscribers.

The key in both these suggestions is to not make readers find you, but to inform your readers when there is new content.

It's RSS enabled.  Check the address bar of your browser and you'll see the RSS icon.  I should get a purty little button on the site, though.  Will get to work on it, thanks.
