Highway Honeypot
Police set up a highway sign warning motorists that there are random stops for narcotics checks ahead, but actually search people who take the next exit.

tax dollars at work keeping valuable products from reaching their destinations.  I bet this will stop drug use.

The last time I saw that was about 12 years ago. They put up similar signs on I-30, right at an exit at Hope, Arkansas. They did a pretty good job of it... anyone exiting because of the sign had to make a pretty sudden swerve when they saw it.

I never heard if they caught anyone.
