The law may be the law, but numbers are numbers.  If the amount of gamblers is larger than the number of cops on duty, then what?

Techincal note: Podcasting by it's nature is not live.  Broadcasting is.
Technical note: A broadcast does not have to be live.

They write you a summons. Then you have to show up in court, or they put out an arrest warrant, and come get you when they want to.

Actually, broadcasting is transmitting, so it's always live.  The program content may or may not be.

So you consider every broadcast to be a "live broadcast"?

Do you consider any stream on the internet to be "live", as the stream is transmitting?

No, I don't think it's appropriate to put "live" near broadcast unless one is actually "live".  I was just trying to differentiate between the broadcast and the content.

I'd say that a stream is more "live" than a podcast is, but we're getting to the point where I've written "live" so much that it's totally lost meaning!   :o

Are you a private investigator, president?  You seem to be a resourceful dude.

Pick your battles. Most people in NH like the state lottery. Let's gain more credibility through attcking less popular laws, before we tackle the good old state lotto.
It's a monopoly, I agree. No it isn't right, and yes it's unconstitutional. But hey it beats property taxes. Let's be a bit more incremental here. If NH residents won't allow a state regulated casino, then they aren't ready to support full gambling deregulation.
More people would be sympathetic if you targeted private gambling on sporting events. Everyone bets on a game on Thanksgiving.

The reason I chose a raffle is because it's easier to do than setting up a gaming table and sitting down and playing blackjack.  I'd love to hear some alternate gambling-related CD ideas.

? Multiply manicurist reaction by State x 10,000 ? ??

If you are arguing that they are extremely oppressive then you are arguing in favor of the protest.

I have just decided to start a lottery at porcupine partners. People can buy chances and we will post the winning numbers at Keene Free Press. FTLive can be the first radio source to announce the numbers.
You can buy your tickets online or whenever you see one of our representatives. We are working on retailers. Half the receipts go to the winner and the other half goes to the LSFund. 8)

What day of the week should we do the drawing?
How many numbers ....... what kind of drawing mechanism should we use?

How old is the LSF now?  You're very close to not being illegal here, I'm afraid.  If a charitable group is 2 years old, they need only get a permit from the selectmen in the town where the raffle is to be drawn in order to be all legit and stuff.

I don't see much traction here, even if you want to whine about having to get a permit people will point out these laws exist in an attempt to prevent people from committing fraud.

I guess I am not talking civil disobedience and this would not be sponsored by the lsf ..... just donated to them. :)
