The US hopes to impose UK style ISP mandatory logging.   Anything you do online goes into the black box for later fishing expedition and abuse.  I can  see so many ways this will be used besides the stated ones that I can't believe they are for this.  They must have built in provisions for themselves.  The elite can have privacy, the rabble have to be monitored.

Again?

Do we have to kill this stupid idea EVERY DAMN YEAR?

ISPs in the entire EU will be required to log their subscribers' web browsing, e-mail, IMs and phone calls from next year.

QuoteI've got my own Homeland Security - a .9mm Sig!

You've got a pistol which shoots a 9/10ths millimeter projectile? I'll bet it's cute! ;)

You also may want to pick up something a little more substantial, such as a 9mm pistol or a .308/7.62x51 rifle.

Or something really big:  .28Gauge shotgun!

Would a .2 guage metal plate stop that kind of weapon?

10 gauge is bigger than a 12 gauge.   28 gauges are smaller.

I think you might have missed a point. :)

Involuntary public iris scans may be coming soon.   I suppose the next logical step is outlawing wearing sunglasses in public, similar to the UK's ban on masks.   Pathetic.
A ban on masks in NH has been attempted. http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/legislation/2000/HB1544.html
Fortunately the attempt was unsuccessful.

I'm on air right now and would like to talk about it.
Oh wait this was in 2000...well good to keep our eye on this stuff because this crowd might try another attempt.

And since smaller numbers are bigger bores, a ".28 gauge" would be really huge!
