I'm confused ... do freedom loving small "l" libertarian free market agorists support the looters rioting because the government in Greece is cutting taxpayer funded welfare?

Same thing would happen here if we stopped feeding , housing and ended medicaid benefits if the 36 million looters that the taxpayers support here.

edited for grammer .

I seriously doubt it would.

But one can dream, can't one?

It's interesting that in America, the land of the free and the world's shining example of freedom and democracy, politicians are treated like royalty, a class apart with special police protection. Not just to protect their lives, but to insulate them from interaction with the hoi poloi.

Meanwhile in "elitist" Europe, cabinet-level politicians ride the subways to work, and are spat upon in the street with no police escort at all. Mere elected officials are dragged out of their offices and bloodied.

I'm not a fan of violence, but it's an interesting juxtaposition of myth-v.-reality.

Which is why I like NH. I was walking  down N Main St Concord during lunch one day and met Gov Lynch - all by his lonesome. I stopped him and told him that was a big reason for me moving to NH.

Did you tell him it was Benson that you would rather run into?

Also I bet quite a few of those folks in the street are middle class
who have paid a boat load of taxes for stuff their now not going to
get and will have to pay more taxes, to bail out bankers and corporations.
They are rightly pissed.Next = I am going to be surprised if you don't see the Irish go completely nuts in the next couple of years.

I was asking an honest question .. there was no sarcasm here , though now I see how sarcastic that sounded . I seem to be unable to express my self as well as I would like to online . I have a great deal of respect for those who put their freedom and safety on the line to protest government aggression so please understand I am not trying to get shitty with you guys . I would really hate to wear out my welcome before I step foot in NH .

My concern was / is that people who I thought were anti violence think that firebombing other human beings ( yes I know they beat us with clubs and tazer us ) compares to the peaceful protesting that the chalkers(sp) are doing in Concord ... and yes I saw who I think was giggan getting violently assaulted in the vid that youtube pulled ... I have been dragged by the Chicago cops during  a huge protest of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan , and know what it feels like to get beat with a large mag-light for refusing to answer questions by the CPD more than once in my life.

I know the day when Americans take to the streets is coming and I pray I no longer live in Illinois when it does  , I believe you are very mistaken if you don't realize  the level violence the American " looters " are capable of is exponentially higher than we see in Europe .

I agree that all of us should be pissed enough to take to the streets , and of course many of you that have moved to New Hampshire do in fact protest. I will be standing right next to you all as soon as I am free to leave the state of Illinois ... that is if you will have me . I was just taken aback watching people get fire bombed . As angry and frustrated as I am  .. keep in mind that I live in one of the most " statist " areas we have in the US... I would never want to be a part of a group of people who would break windows and hurl Molotov cocktails at others.

I decided long ago that violence against the state will NEVER provide the solutions we seek , it will only bring crushing force down on those precipitating it ...anyone who was awake the day when those SOB's moved the media miles from the Branch Davidian's compound and then burn it  to the ground along with  the human beings in it knows this. The real and inarguable difference between the cops in Greece and here in the US is the cops in the US would have opened fire with AR 15's on the crowd when the firebombs started flying .. I have no delusions about the level of violence "our" state would find acceptable to use against it's citizens.

I would love to know what do the people who have been chalking in concord think about that violent video?

Also , why does my status now say I am a slave, lol? I believe I stopped being a slave a couple of decades ago.   OK .. now it says mischievous >:D , I can get behind that.  edit <<<<

Reminds me of a line from that old song, "Let Me Call You Home."  ;D
