Stealing from a cop is just as wrong as stealing from anybody else Dennismokes.   

Conversely initiating force is just as wrong if a person IS a cop...badges don't provide moral authority do they?

If they were breaking in to steal his money or tv and he shot em ..would they let him go then?...What if they were trying to steal his barbque grill can you shoot them than?...I bet if someone broke into the cops house and tried to steal something it would be ok...

Maybe he meant that if someone broke into a cops house and tried to steal something and the cop shot the thief it would be OK, as in the cop would not be charged.
I'm thinking that maybe the cop would have to manipulate the evidence (you know, just a little bit to make sure, including planting a little bit of this or that on the dead person) just to, you know, tidy things up a bit.
