Stealing from a cop is just as wrong as stealing from anybody else Dennismokes.

Conversely initiating force is just as wrong if a person IS a cop...badges don't provide moral authority do they?

Lloyd Danforth

Some folks would consider that 'liberating' property.

If they were breaking in to steal his money or tv and he shot em ..would they let him go then?...What if they were trying to steal his barbque grill can you shoot them than?...I bet if someone broke into the cops house and tried to steal something it would be ok...

Would who let them go?
I don't know what position a BBQ hold in your life, but stealing a sacred family ceremonial artifact is a shoot'n.
Why would it be OK to steal from a cop?

Maybe he meant that if someone broke into a cops house and tried to steal something and the cop shot the thief it would be OK, as in the cop would not be charged.
I'm thinking that maybe the cop would have to manipulate the evidence (you know, just a little bit to make sure, including planting a little bit of this or that on the dead person) just to, you know, tidy things up a bit.

Yeah. When you steal stolen property it is often called 'liberating' it.  It is more clearly liberating when taking stuff back from the government, than any individual, like a cop.

Is saying "BAM!" an initiation of force?

Today, Ralph Kramden would be a "prohibited person", barred from owning a gun due to domestic violence, even though he never laid a hand on Alice.

RALPH & ALICE: TO THE MOON!

I could never understand the popularity of that show. The dismal apartment. The violent bus driver. You'd wait and wait for Art Carney to show up to lighten things up. I would acquit her if she killed her husband.

Emeril wouldn't be able to keep an audience if it were.
