I called and inquired about Bob's visiting hours and was told they were between 8:30am to 9:30am on Sundays. That seems like a ridiculously narrow window to me...

It does...

Would you be interested in probing this policy?

Does the judge had the authority to make his own rules up? So he scribbles out "no electronics in the courtroom,"  signs it and then it becomes law? and his henchmen back him up? These judges are out of control. Everyone is waking up to the corruption at this level and their days are numbered. They sure do not like being videotaped do they? I wonder why. What are they afraid of? If they are not doing anything wrong they should be more than happy to be on-camera. And those poor bootlicking little undercover pigs are terrified to be photographed. I find it amusing.

A great video and kudos to Ian and the others.

Short answer, no. The scribble could have been appealed.

Yup it is quite ridiculous. That's it for "bunk 10." And Bob is imprisoned on Bunk 10.
Up to 2 adults and 1 child can visit at a time.

Guard dog said that Bob could be moved to another bunk, "after he is sentenced." (Then, he said, it would "probably" change to Saturdays.) They tell us what a small prison they have, yet they don't even know who's "sentenced" and who is not, etc.

Seems to me that I'll have to be doing some "visiting" from outside.

Since I'm scheduled to do the next 2 Juror Informational Outreach days, I'll plan to visit the Bob from outside the prison walls at least on those days - with guitar and/or sign in hand.

Here's the Peaceful Assembly Choir's contribution to celebration on April 20th at the State House. I consider it to be out best performance yet will over 100 other anti-prohibitionists singing along thanks to songsheets passed out beforehand by http://freegrafton.com activists. Sadly Kat and Russell weren't able to join us that day but we had Lauren, Jim and Ian standing up front with the choir. Weeda Claus was up front wearing a big smile but he didn't participate in the singing. He's was too humble to join us in the spirited version of "Here comes Weeda Claus" to close out the gig.

Richard Onley did a terrific job of writing these songs. The choir is currently looking for new songs and members.

Thanks to Rob Nair for taking video for http://Talley.TV.

Wish we could have been there to enjoy the moments... thanks for posting the video

My 4/20 involved talking with a 2 tour Iraq vet with a damaged back and PTSD and medical advocates... Cannabis helps his conditions. Everyone was quite interested in Bob's "trial".

Is this address good?

Prisoner : Robert Constantine
c/o
Grafton County Correctional
3865 Dartmouth College Highway

Russell Kanning

no I prefer his address in Free Grafton
It feels strange to be walking about, when Bob might not have more than 8x16.

In the Free Grafton post drug war trials how many years will the state/county employees get for "manufacturing" crimes?
How many will say they were just following orders or just doing their job?

Emperor Evan posted Bob's first letter over on FreeGrafton blog

QuoteMy mom dropped me off earlier today at 8:55 am. She has a list of a few books she'll be sending me. The Creature from Jekyll Island should keep me busy for a while.

So far things are not too bad. I think the pen I'm writing with is a "jail pen" and it's a bit floppy... security reasons I assume. There's a good possibility I will be out in 40 days due to "good behavior" or so I'm told.

There are some books in the ahem "library" and I've suggested a few, Isaac Asimov's. Somehow I got a corner cubicle w/ window so I'm thankful for that. One of the guards gave me some paper (2 pieces.) I'm told I can buy some on Monday which should be enough to start outlining a book. One of the Jail Captains called me "The Cannabis Guy" so apparently the trial and ensuing events did not go unnoticed. "renowned" at last!

Alas, I am now in actuality "the Cannabis-less guy."

I've met a few of the guys in here and I think things will be fine. I've already had a few discussions about victimless crimes and hope to continue the outreach.

The cubicle (cell) isn't too bad, no locked doors and 4 bunks made of metal. I'm told I'm in "medium security" and it's likely I could be transferred to "low security" soon.

My attire includes some orange underwear and yellow shirt and pants, I do cut a dashing figure I do say so... No Ambassador sash though.

I saw the video of the singing in the Capital building early in the morning before I left to report to jail. I really liked it. Tell all the liberty folks "hello" and to keep working on peaceful solutions.

...39 more days to go. Celtics vs Knicks tonight. Yahoo.

Your friend,

Bob Constantine

Russell Kanning

cool
they only need "medium security"
to secure the homeland? society from this enemy of the state? the drug lords from competition?
this whole trial and jailing have really knocked the state down a peg or 2 of legitimacy for me

Still going to try to get Bob's garden at least tilled and some veggie plants together for him to put in once he's home. I'll be starting cucumbers/squash/melons/runner beans this week in containers, hopefully the weather will be cooperative. Have lots of sunflower seed sprouts in the yard under the rabbit hutches, so I'll dig up a bunch of those too... If anyone local wants to pitch in and help bring manure over there, and we can try to figure out a planting date. Please contact me if you're up to helping... Thanks!
