Some of the actions undertaken and minor successes achieved thus far during the "NPD groin-grabbing revolt"

- Coverage of reporter's arrest (my arrest) heard by an estimated 400,000 listeners so far on FreeTalkLive.com
- Attorney Seth Hipple hired; has track record of beating NPD.
- Initial protest completed May 29 in front of NPD office.  Turnout 20; demonstration featured in Nashua Telegraph.  Seen by estimated 1,000 motorists:
    http://www.nashuatelegraph.com/news/921089-196/bedford-man-to-nashua-police-dont-touch.html
- Video of arrest successfully uploaded and taken to the 8,000 viewer mark, disproportionately New Hampshirites:
     youtube.com/watch?v=6GqaUfaFLg4
- Subsequent videos and podcasts on the subject seen/heard by another 16,000 roughly.
- I spoke to the Nashua Board of Alderman in early June. This sparked a healthy debate where the board discussed NPD behavior and the econmic importance of maintaining Nashua's "welcoming" reputation.
- One Alderman and one state senator have now apologized for the incident; four alderman have expressed concerns...though not publicly in most cases.
- Smaller protest held July 10. Total turnout of 12, in two locations.  Half used Hwy 111 bridge, so this time the anti-NPD message seen by estimated 6,000 motorists.
- The protests, though limited, are having the intended effect of drawing NPD brutality victims and civil rights folk into early stages of alliance with liberty activists.
- Other actions planned, still others held in reserve for possible use depending on NPD escalation.

Sending this to each of the Aldermen:

Hi Alderman Clemons...

Dave Ridley here; I'm the indie reporter who brought up some concerns about Nashua PD during the early June alderman meeting.

Here's a list of peaceable actions I've taken so far in response to NPD's behavior at the May 25th Joe Biden event:
http://nhunderground.com/forum/index.php?topic=22849.msg337113#new

Here's a list of peaceable actions under consideration as the controversy continues:
http://nhunderground.com/forum/index.php?topic=23093.msg337111#msg337111

And here's a list of limited objectives toward which I am battling...in this peaceable way.  These provide a roadmap for ending the very public conflict.
http://nhunderground.com/forum/index.php?topic=23093.0

Two of the objectives on my list are within the board's power to deliver, bringing a mutually honorable end to these "nonviolent hostilities."  One of the objectives is probably within *your* power to deliver.  Once any of the four are fully achieved, I'll be standing down from this conflict with NPD until/unless they resume it.  Meanwhile, I'll continue to be what the MLK folks referred to as an "often falling droplet."  I will be peaceably, frequently landing on the NPD boulder, mobilizing new opponents to its behavior, eroding the department's reputation and power very slightly at each drop.

Respectfully,

Dave Ridley

Going south of the border is a bit invasive!!! (without the rest of body frisk?)
I hope the charges are dropped as they should be.
I hope your Alderman clear this thing up. Glad to see the video at the meeting. It does restore faith in functional government. I hope the judge sees the ridiculousness in the arrest too.
Hang in there!

I hope the Aldermen clear it up as well but there is no way that they are going to approach the totality of the situation here, so some of us are headed to the FBI for a little assistance.  I do plan on discussing things with the Aldermen, I should of course expect a reasonable response given that they voted with Mayor Streeter 4 years ago to award me that Mayoral First Amendment Commendation.

Uh... that headline isn't really accurate.  I don't think I need help from those folks.

It does not say or imply that you do. And the body of the piece clearly indicates your position Dave:

QuoteWell I got news for you pal: You shut one door and another one opens.... the one at the FBI Office, that is. Owing to his minimalist government approach Dave Ridley will not attend with us, but I will tell you this: The harder you push us the harder we will push back, and the facts are on our side even if the scales of New Hampshire Justice.... are not.

I mean you can fuss about that but I could have fussed over you calling my videos "promotional" which they were not. They were your take on the case and my full opinion was not aired until the last segment.

We may have our differences (we do) but remember: I'm the one who has been there and done that, both as a lawyer and as a Defendant, spanked that State arse royally several times. So I have my ways and practices and you have yours, frankly I wish both of us the best of luck because as I've said the resistance has to come from all fronts.

Peace.

First of all I obviously brought more than the FBI to bear in my prior experiences with certain Nashua LE, that is why I have that Mayoral + Aldermanic Commendation.

However certain realities call for certain responses, and as I have proved, again in V96-61481 sometimes you have to use their own system against them at all levels. You have your level and I have mine. I am going to approach the Chamber again as a former 7 year resident with today's video, seen below. You gotta' capture the video and take it to them.

They are not into peace in the first place. They have repeatedly threatened me without just cause for using the same First Amendment Rights that FS's have, and which I will protect to the utmost.

Furthermore if your people can be arrested and jailed by the same lying former NH US Marshall Monier, then dammit put those tax dollars to work because why have them sit in prison behind that and give the Feds a pass, f*ck that nonsense, yo. Don't bring a knife to a gunfight.

And again, recall I was a Federal Litigator so I know a bit about how this stuff really works. None of you can say that.

And oh, they are still at it -- barking at me even as I have complied, same shit they pulled on me and DR before mind you -- and they have a lying witness from the Peddler's Daughter this time.

Update from July 21: This protest is cancelled due to victory condition being met.

End update

Dave here from RidleyReport.com.  I'm holding another demonstration against Nashua Police Department's behavior.   This one is a little different in that I'm encouraging participants to make their trip to Nashua a two-for-one.  My protest will happen half an hour after a Nashua Ron Paul event is scheduled to end.

http://www.meetup.com/RonPaul-NH/events/24941161/

You can work for Dr. Paul in the morning or early afternoon, then join our demonstration in the late afternoon. If you're concerned I might distract effort from the Paul event, you probably shouldn't be, as I'm scheduling it after...and  I think more folks will drive to Nashua if there are 2 events drawing them instead of one.

What: (Cancelled): Fourth RidleyProtest against Nashua PD behavior
When:  Saturday, July 23 5:30p - 7:30p - timing somewhat tentative, check back after Wed.
Where:  Intersection of Hwy 3 and Hwy 111, Nashua, NH.   We'll be on the Hwy 111 bridge above Hwy 3, possibly the best place to demonstrate in the whole state if you have big enough signs.
This is a decent area to park for it:  http://mapq.st/qlsM9X  Incidentally , the PD is nearby, at 0 Panther Drive.
Why:  NPD arrested me, essentially for videotaping outside a Joe Biden event. The charge was "criminal trespass."  Here's the video of it:
   youtube.com/watch?v=6GqaUfaFLg4
Who: NH liberty activists and any friends who might be visiting that day from the south.
How:  I'll have a "Bad NPD" sign that can be seen from 300 yards, a gadsden flag and another big sign. Last time we had way more signs then people , so your sign probably won't help unless it's huge. Maybe leave it in the car so you have hands free.  I'm thinking we'll aim north at the southbound traffic.

Update from  July 19:
I had indicated earlier that these demonstrations and my other pacific actions against NPD would continue until one of four conditions were met.  One of them may in fact have been fully met now, I'm trying to verify whether it has or hasn't.    If it has then I would need to cancel this demonstration and stand down as indicated until the department resumes this conflict.  I should know by thursday; Stay tuned.

Russell Kanning

I guess I cannot relate to you king, because I have not been a fed litigator and I bring a peace pipe to gunfights. :)

Dave Ridley

Chris forgive me for doing unto you as I would have you do unto me.   If I post something others disagree with, I'd generally rather they correct me right there publicly.  That way if I don't see the correction, at least there is a public record of it.

But posting a correction or disagreement doesn't mean you don't appreciate someone, and of course... I appreciate you...

....Likewise. Meanwhile I wish I had known about the Greenfield situation I would have loved to get some footage out there if they had banned me from court you know I would have found a way to get some good stuff regardless.

OK... as indicated at
http://nhunderground.com/forum/index.php?topic=23093.msg337094#msg337094

I have promised to wage a sort of PR and in-system conflict with Nashua PD over this arrest....until  one of four things happens. I've also indicated I would mostly stand down once any of the four objectives are achieved.

One of them has been achieved now, although it's the mayor who gets credit for it not me.  I was able to verify it on July 20.   This objective I was shooting for was to see the NPD budget reduced by 3 or more percent, and apparently that happened on June 30...exactly 3 percent.  I wasn't able to verify the numbers until yesterday.  I don't know if I had much  to do with it happening, but it was more or less what I requested at the early June meeting and what the mayor has been fighting for against the board of aldermen.

Now that this has occurred I'm bound to honor the promise and mostly stand down until the department or its allies resume the conflict.  I guess I would consider it resuming the conflict if they actually do put me on trial August 25th.  Then I'd start pulling the stops out again.

Meanwhile I won't be scheduling any more protests on this until maybe that day.  And I'll hold off on scheduling the redress hearing and the other stuff until the authorities clearly resume the conflict.    Obviously I'll still do videos or podcasts here and there related to it but until/unless they start this up again I'm mostly pulling back.

Also I had another positive experience with the city's "civilian" bureaucracy this week...the CFO John Griffen (or maybe it's spelled Jon Griffin?) was helpful almost to a fault, getting me the info I needed to verify the Nashua PD budget cut was in fact 3 percent.

Obviously the legal defense process continues unabated in anticipation of a possible trial the 25th.  Thanks again to all who've been helping not just on that but on everything else.  This may not be over so stay tuned.
