Winter Street in Keene has been blocked off and police and fire crews are on scene after an incident Wednesday afternoon.

Police declined to provide any information on what happened. An initial emergency radio dispatch stated that a person was on fire.

I think that there has been some academic debate in the past about whether it should be considered suicide (at least from a moral/spiritual/... point of view) if the action was taken for some higher purpose.
I think that some preferred to simply "call it self-sacrifice."
