If you go with glass, make sure it is actually clear glass and not coated like "efficiency" windows.

We've been moving slow on this project as the backhoe on the tractor is being a pain.  We have cut a few sun robbing trees and are gathering panels of glass, so maybe there is hope for us.  We may even post a picture or two along the way.

In the interim we are resurrecting a "mini greenhouse" that will be re sheathed (is that a word?)  with poly and used to heat flat black spray painted jugs of water for the evening clean up and hand pump shower.  No longer will we be dirty hippies living in the woods.

At the first sign of frost the mini greenhouse will be used for storing the still bearing tomatoes and peppers that would ordinarily die. We intentionally planted them in 5 gallon pails for this purpose.  The pails are mostly camo painted and retrofitted from other past gardening pursuits. yeah....recycle.   :P
