Something outside just went boom.  Our lights flickered just before it happened.  Then a bunch of streetlights went out.

Sounds like a squirrel in a transformer. Is there one (transformer, not squirrel) near you?

Tons of squirrels (whom I'm pissed at), but I don't know about the transformers.

Someone just called in to say that water was gushing up into the street on Spring St. near Washington.
