Yesterday was Black Friday at work and at home.

Each Thursday and Friday night, I break out of the spychipped prison of my workplace and stroll through the leaves, laugh with my coworkers, play with twigs, sit on a large boulder, and forget my troubles.? I take in the fresh, crisp air of Stratham on a calm winter night.? Clouds of swirling frost vaporize as I exhale.? The clean air of the nearby New Hampshire wilderness soothes my spirit.? The sweet smell of chocolate from the nearby Lindt factory makes me smile and chuckle.

Last night, the air stung my skin silently, sending shivers down my body and into my legs.? Roger joked "it's mind over matter, Mike."? How true.? As I found in Vermont, it takes a few weeks to get used to it, but then I feel at home again.

I hope sandy isn't sleeping thru this.

Naw, I didn't sleep through it.  I made sure to go for a walk during the first snowfall of the season.  By the time I got to Dunkin Doughnuts, my hair was dripping wet; I saw people edging away from me.  ;)  My neighbor yelled "Where are you from?" at me; I was obviously having too much fun to be a native.  It was bee-yootiful. :)

Weather update:

Current conditions in Texarkana: 82 F (!), winds at 17-25.

Texas sucks! Or blows, in this case...  >:(

You're telling this to a bunch of popscicles who've been standing out in the cold too long.   :P :P

Oh the weather man here are just about orgasaming over the fact we are gonna have snow.

I really cant tell how much yet because when they get so excited they give differant amounts. But it seems like 3 inches or more.

I don't know if I ever mentioned this but= I hate snow.

LOTS MORE!

(Oh well, I was trying to give you the winter pic.? Thought that if you went forward or back from there you'd see more winter, but it ends up jumping to page one.? The several winter pics are on page 2.? ?::)? Don't let this knock this thread off track but, the Benson rally pics sure brought back a few memories though; such as the megaphone story, and Local 10 out of Lynn, Ma. etc.)

BRING ON THE SNOW.

I hoped to be able to report snow from Texas today, but no joy... just more typical "winter", 35F and rain.  >:(

Parts of Arkansas got an inch or two. I had to love this comment on a Little Rock news station's site:

http://www.katv.com/news/stories/1205/284111.html

QuoteWow, i sure am glad i went to the store and stocked up on my bread, milk, cheese, socks, toothpaste, cheese-its, and other essentials.  We have such a crippling blizzard on our hands.... in some spots, you can no longer see the grass.  Only in Arkansas will one inch of snow cause so much widespread panic. I would hate to see what happens if some major event actually does happen here. I hope people won't go into panic mode so quickly. Merry Christmas, but I wish Santa had delivered a snow day so I wouldn't have to walk to school in the cold.

;D

Oh that's rough, when your tires and your friends are bald.
