I wouldn't.  If bullets do start flying you certainly don't want kids in the mix.

Fred Smart just said on the Alex Jones show that he would like thousands of peaceful people to gather in Plainfield and Lebanon right now.

I'm ready as soon as I can get my kids, should I bring them?

I would say no...they probably won't do any violence to you, but they might put you in jail or something.

That's true.  I was kind of young when Waco occurred but I seem to remember they had live coverage of that, am I right?  If I am what makes this so different, no live coverage allowed?

It's different because of Waco.  They learned their lessons at Waco.  Media coverage leads to nasty things like viral videos, federal manslaughter charges...  You know - bad press.

Right, that's my concern too but I was thinking that we'd be far enough away.  I just did a map search and I'm over an hour away from there.  It's near the Vermont border, right?

I switched on mainstream news on the tv about 6 times in the past hour and nothing about this at all, like cnn, msnbc, fox news.  I'll go check again but it's weird isn't it?  This should be headline news already.

This page has video but I can't get it to play

I can't get it to play iether ... my friend in New York sent it to me to watch  ... he can view just fine ... I guess they don't want u "Live Fre or Die" s to show up

Quote from: Crocuta on June 07, 2007, 01:04 PM NHFTYou would think that the fact that they were being denied access would enflame their little journalistic hearts.  I guess it's sexier to embed with Central American rebel groups and military units in Iraq than something so domestic like this.

This reminds me of a situation years ago.  My friend and I went to the movies (I drove) and when I went to drop him off at his house his whole road was blocked off.  Turned out the feds were raiding the home next door to his so they wouldn't even let him back to his own house.  This was a high school kid at around 10 PM on a school night and they wouldn't let him go home.  He called his parents from my house saying he couldn't get back in, they didn't even know anything was going on outside their door (they lived in a bad part of town so flashing police lights were common).  They had me take him as close as he could get and jump fences.  They then let him in the back door of the house.  It was scary stuff.

Good point well then it'll take me about 2 1/2 hours to get there if I don't bring the kids.
Alex Jones was saying maybe they, (feds I guess), want a whole bunch of us out there to make it look like a violent uprising and then in comes marshal law, I don't know.

Yeah really, god forbid bad press.  I didn't learn the truth about Waco until a couple years ago and I wonder why there weren't any demonstrations or anything.  Am I wrong, were there demonstrations?

Take It In Blood

that NH link is little news report. IT is not live

I hearby offer to babysit for anyone who needs childcare to go. I'm home with my one year old anyway. I'm a former nanny, living in Wentworth... might be too out of the way, but if this thing heats up and anyone really needs to get down there...

Well...there was Oklahoma City...not exactly the most constructive response.

What about a couple of ice cream cones & a "we support the browns" sign by the sherrif's office? I don't know the area, so am just guessing the office is in the middle of town. Would that be away from the action, while letting the sherrif know his sudden "vacation" has been noticed?

That's a good idea.  I have an older daughter too that can babysit if anyone wants to head down there with/without me in the Campton area.  Good idea, thanks.

I noticed the Union Leader article reffered to their home as a "compound." That doesn't bode well!
