I wonder why they brought an armored vehicle from MA.  The NH State Police have their own armored vehicle in Concord, or at least they did the last time I checked.  Anyone get pictures of the armored vehicle that showed up in Plainfield?

No not really.  I hate sports.  Except for sex and hockey.

But if we used the Browns stuff to show support - it's not like you can arrest me for aiding and abetting if I'm just wearing a sports hat or jacket.  PROVE in a court of law that I'm holding a sign that supports Ed and Elaine Brown - or would that be BROWN, ED and ELAINE - and not some sports team.

Well, I'm off to do some important paperwork in my office - gotta get the Brown to the Superbowl.

It's a friggin TAX issue.  What, they can't just walk up the front door, knock, and say that they have a warrant for Ed's arrest, and could you please come along peacefully?

They need a MILE radius evacuated - other people with NO ties whatsover to Ed and his case are FORCED from their homes on privately owned property?  They need massive amounts of people from several federal and state agencies?  They need fir trucks and bomb squads and armored vehicles?  They need surveillance?  They need to lie and make up stupid stories?They need to close off AIRSPACE?  They need to bar the press?

This doesn't even approach legitimate government.  What they are doing should, under the Founders' system, be impossible, or if not impossible, so downright difficult, miserable, publicly opposed, painful, and astronomically expensive - followed by massive civil and criminal prosecutions and social consequences -  as to be impossible to repeat for several decades.

Get it?

I think it is the time to give Ed some bodily support.  I'm thinking they won't attack within the next day or two, but you can never be too sure.  I believe more than anything that this is simply a testing of the waters.  So...what shall the waters be like?  This is up to us.  Let's make the water unbearable and see to it that our friends Ed and Elaine are not hurt.

I think it's important to go crazy with the media so that they don't succeed in framing the discussion ("armed compound, religious nut, tax protester). Even the local Concord paper has already started with that type of demonizing talk from what I've seen. His home is a house, not a "compound," (not that there's a problem with owning a "compound," but you understand what I mean), and he's not a tax protestor either - the law as written simply doesn't apply to him.

I think the best way to support the Browns in the long-term is to follow their example - within reason.  Stop paying taxes, or at least the federal income tax.

Prison is a good place to get in shape and do a lot of heavy reading, and there are only so many people they can put in jails before the system breaks down.

Fifteen years from now, maybe we'll be able to do that, but not yet.  Ed not being a pushover and protecting his own property is one thing, but getting more people killed could do serious PR harm to the freedom movement in New Hampshire, which is still in larval stages of development. 

Think long term.  In fifteen years, we will have 10,000 Ed Browns, myself included, and a lot more support from municipal and state governments.

In the meantime...  If the Browns provide the martyrdom, we must provide the marketing.  I might be jumping ahead a bit, but does anyone know a good sculptor?  You can't have a martyr without a nice big sculpture!

The operation was set up to seize the dental office in Lebanon. The road blockade, and the police presence in the open field, were obviously a tactical technique, just in case the hundreds, possibly thousands, of well-armed Brown supporters decided to storm out of the Brown residence and actively defend the dental office.  ::)

What? You mean there were only a few people at the Brown house, fewer than a dozen? And the last thing they'd do is run off and leave the Browns unprotected?

Sheesh. Morons.

But since it paid well (time-and-a-half plus mileage and per diem; reimbursed, no doubt, by Uncle Sugar), it's not surprising that the "overwhelming police presence in Plainfield was a conglomerate of heavily armed New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts State Police, a N.H. State Police Explosives Disposal Unit, state and regional SWAT teams, local emergency vehicles and sport-utility vehicles with government license plates."

Just another chance to play cowboy on your taxpayer dime.
