Joe Haas arrested for email:

Thanks CHNT.  I notice here that they use the word "sent" as in my pressing the button to SEND what I did write up, this connection as an element in the offense charged, because if a person just reads such, like on an electronic bulletin board, the real victim of any aggression by the government re-actions, the writer can always use this blocking tactic in that they might admit that they wrote it but WHO made the delivery and how?  An e-mail showed up in her inbox, but who SENT it? Not that this defense will be used by me, but just as they say: "A word to the wise"* for others who might be hesitant to this retaliation for free speech to keep this in the back of their minds for any future shenanigans.

So you're not actually in jail? What happened?

Don Crate, the Bail Commissioner came by and for thirty bucks ($30.00) in the form of one $20 bill and one $10.00 bill as "paper money" thanks to the Federal Reserve Bank I didn't have to carry around a lot of coin  :icon_pirat: he gave me two yellow papers and a map to the courthouse.  One of the officers said that Bernie was out in the parking lot waiting for me in his car, and after Don left, the two officers showed me the same door.*

The two yellow papers are both entitled: ORDERS AND CONDITIONS OF BAIL". One is marked AOC-110-245 (12/03) and the other with the same numbers but (12/02).  The latter is more detailed in that: III.1. "that defendant shall have no contact with any Lebanon City Council Member by mail, telephone or otherwise, and is further ordered not to interfere with this person at their residence, school, or place of employment and additionally is ordered to refrain from going within 150 ft. of where that person(s) may be."  Plus also: III.2. "refrain from possessing a firearm, destructive device, dangerous weapon, or ammunition."  So for the latter here, I guess that I'll just have to continue my paper war with the federal and state government goons.  I did get some paperwork signed yesterday up at Ed's that I'm to present to the governor later today to work down the Art. 49 chain of command, and will re-type that with my proof of delivery tonight after I return from work.

* The booking process now includes some electronic fingerprint scanner by MOTOROLA, so no more black ink pads on paper. And as I think I already mentioned: the bail is at $2,000 P.R. to guarantee that they get the up to $1,200 maximum fine + 20% P.A. of $240.00 = $1,440 leaving $560.00 for what?

Yours truly, Joe H.

Article in today's CM regarding the amount of money that the IRS is looking for:
http://concordmonitor.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070621/REPOSITORY/706210340

So, they seized a building that is worth more ($833k) than the original tax bill ($625k). And now they're saying the total tax bill ($3 million) is more than Elaine even earned during that period ($1.9 million)!  :o

That's an effective tax rate of 157%... pay the gummint everything you made, plus another 57%!

Elaine hadn't paid in 14 years.  That's a whole lot of compound interest.

How can the government charge penelties and interest with no contract, even if there is a tax ammendment in the constitution that did make partial slavery legal, it says nothing about interest and penelties?

My understanding is that the 1.9 mil is her gross income. After deductions by using the IRS standards what did she really make? What was her taxable income? She may have lost money with her business or at the very least she had to pay a mortgage or rent on her properties plus salaries. I would be surprised if her net income was 1.9 mil..

LordBaltimore

Why do you assume it was her gross income?  I think in the trial, they showed this amount as being net of business expenses such as employee payroll and such.

Maybe the email is an entertainment medium, not a legal documentation.
The best that can be proven with this medium, is a fictional story. :D

Hello everyone.  Today I read the story about the Browns on CNN.com, to say the least it got my blood flowing.

I completely and uterly agree in what they are doing.  Here is a copy of the letter I sent to CNN, which I doubt gets posted.

It does touch base on the browns but goes a little further.  Violence is not inteded here, however organization is encouraged.  Something to consider...

When was the last time you saw a million man march on washington, where the protesters were caucasion.

Talking to your neighbor, posting in forums and just generally getting it out of your system is not helping us.  If you want to fight for whats right, do something.  Dont talk about it, do it!

{My Letter}

"I don't believe the fight is simply about taxes.  I believe there are underlying motives and this is for a greater cause.

The IRS knew the browns were breaking their rules, well before they accrued 1.9 million dollars in alleged tax fraud, and that they were going to do what they are doing well before they did it. If you and I act like this it's called a conspiracy.

Why wait so long to point out that someone is making a mistake?

They didn't make it or hide it overnight!

I believe that they are doing the right thing here.  Those of you, who just go along with the world and the words as they are written, are cowards.

Do you believe change for the better was ever achieved without the loss of life? If so you need to look at history.

We kill all over the world, and sell it to Americans as peace keeping, as necessary to sustain and improve our way of life.

I have my own fight with the US government, which will soon be revealed.  But let it be known, my fight is peaceful and will be done through the media.  Provided we can find a media outlet that is not sanctioned by the government.

Or government is full of crooks, communist, and profiteers.

It's okay for the government to profit off of people by exploiting their weakness's, it's okay for big business to get rich by exploiting people and their weakness's, but it's not okay as an American where we are supposed to be free, where we are to be governed by the people for the people, to make an honest living without having to give it all back.

Did you know your hard earned tax dollars are paid to the states in the amount of 40k +/- dollars to take care of each inmate?  Do you know that most Americans don't even make that much a year?

States, government, they are all big business, not about the people for the people and will never change without fighting back.

Those of you who want to stick your head in the sand by all means, feel free, but when the war is over, don't expect someone to pull your head out.

I read a statement regarding taxes and how they are necessary to keep our country thriving. I agree in part, however, our country is constantly developing relationships with other countries and in turn they are selling us out, our jobs, our economy etc.

Outsourcing is a good example.  It was started by big business, and okay by government.  Those who opposed it initially are no longer opposing it, why?  I suppose they finally got their payoff.

Did you know that individuals on work visas in this country send most of their money home?  Did you know that a programmer from India can earn 80k a year here, and live for 8 years as a king there?  I know them personally, and they send it all home! How does that support American and local economies?  It doesn't and it is slowly destroying us.

Anyone who wants to stand up for change is suppressed.  You think you are free, you are not.  You are ignorant of the definition and because of your ignorance will continue to watch your freedoms taken away.

For the individual that made the comment regarding the use of media after being convicted as a felon.

You words are well written but you are as ignorant and self centered as the majority.

Stop following, stop living in a box and start taking action for your own lives, your children's lives and your children's, children's  lives.

For those of us who want a "free America" it is our responsibility to force change.  At first use diplomacy, if diplomacy doesn't work, use volume, if volume doesn't work use bullets.

That's the American way, and we have been taught that by the world's greatest teacher of violence, the American government.

This country was founded by criminals and is run by criminals.  Those who oppose it are called criminals, and are suppressed simply because they do not want you to want change.

They want you in a box so you can be easily controlled and manipulated.  How do you like being taken advantage of?  Are you going to keep taking it?

Wake up people, this is our country, the peoples country, it's time to step up and fight for what's right, not what's written.

Those who write it cannot be objective as they have an inherent responsibility to write law that will support their views and fill their pockets, not the peoples.

Nonya"

Replies and discussion welcomed.

CNHT

They are doing this because it is an election year and they can use the situation to smear people just like they did when Pat Buchanan ran for president.

We've been through this before.

Is the anthrax thing true?

Richard,  Yes, I guess is my answer, as I do not have sound here to hear what Kimberly, the reporter +/or Dudley said about this.  Dudley was the Clerk of the House Judiciary Committee when Henry Mock was the Chairman, after Bob Lockwood before him, and before Lockwood it was Pixy Lown.  I've been going to this committee for over a decade now, thinking that it was some oversight check-and-balance against a corrupt judiciary, but no! it's a den of thieves for the cream of the crop of the most diabolically/ wicked dregs of society/ base as in contemptible to the Constitution they take on RSA Ch. 92:2 oath to but when they reach home, they probably use the sheets of each 2-year re-printing as for their toilet paper!

I had had it once with their shennanigans during that anthrax scare a few years ago and said off the cuff that you "deserve" anthrax.  Some of them got so upset as to have the A.G. look into the matter, but it went nowhere as "free speech"/ wishful thinking. So what did Dudley say? that maybe the judge in HER district can turn this wish of hers into a reality.  I say: hers, because of the choice with the "or" word.  I think she is so of a guilty mind that of course it migrated to the die word as it would be ever so difficult for her to remove her scales.

Plus, re: that mug shot was after they had taken one with my glasses on with a smile saying Whiskey after they didn't like the first one as not too smiling, then saying to remove them for what "they" wanted, so even before that, or afterwards (I forget now) I  really distorted my face with a scrowel and a growel. This was either the before or after look. At least they didn't tell me to put on that orange jumpsuit. Hey! Maybe I should have worn some black and white striped shirt.

Dukakis granted pardon to Brown

By KATHRYN MARCHOCKI
New Hampshire Union Leader Staff

BOSTON – The convicted New Hampshire tax evader now at the center of a standoff for his refusal to surrender and serve a 63-month federal prison term won a pardon in 1976 from then-Massachusetts Gov. Michael S. Dukakis for an earlier criminal conviction.

Edward L. Brown, 64, who remains holed up in his Plainfield, N.H., compound with his wife, Elaine, was found guilty in 1960 of assault and armed robbery in Middlesex Superior Court in Cambridge and later sentenced to state prison, according to his pardon on file at the Massachusetts Archives.

Brown was living in Westborough, Mass., when he requested the pardon for the 1960 criminal conviction and a dozen minor motor vehicle offenses he racked up during the 1960s and early 1970s, according to Governor's Council records and the Senate report listing pardons granted that year.

Acting on the advice and consent of the council, Dukakis "fully and completely" pardoned Brown of all his offenses July 14, 1976, the records show. It was one of 237 pardons Dukakis, then a first-term governor, granted that year, the Senate report shows.

The Advisory Board of Pardons also recommended Brown be pardoned. The board's report is not part of the public record.

A pardon forgives offenders of their crimes, according to the Governor's Council. They most often are requested by those who do not want to list prior criminal convictions on applications to carry weapons and for employment, said Elizabeth Bouvier, judicial archivist for the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.

Dukakis, who was the 1988 Democratic Presidential nominee, now is a member of the political science faculty at Northeastern University in Boston. An attempt to reach him at his Northeastern office yesterday was unsuccessful. His home telephone number is unpublished.

Attempts to reach Brown for comment by telephone and e-mail also were unsuccessful. Authorities cut off the Browns' telephone service and power last week to increase pressure on the couple, who remain in their fortified compound in defiance of a 63-month federal prison term they were ordered to serve April 24.

The couple, who are armed, vowed they will die defending themselves and their property from any government encroachment.

Brown, a retired exterminator, and his wife, Elaine, 66, a dentist, were found guilty in January of plotting to hide their income and avoid taxes on the $1.9 million Elaine Brown earned between 1996 and 2003. They claim there is no law that requires them to pay federal income taxes.

A jury also found the couple guilty of purchasing $215,890 in postal money orders in amounts just below the tax-reporting threshold and using them to buy their 110-acre Plainfield property and Elaine Brown's dental office in West Lebanon.

U.S. marshals said they will not create an armed confrontation with the Browns. Instead, marshals have tried to convince the couple to surrender and speak with them regularly by telephone.

Edward Brown was 18 years old when he was charged with being armed with a dangerous weapon when he assaulted a man while attempting to rob him in Somerville, Mass., in 1960, according to the Middlesex Superior Court indictment. It does not specify the weapon used. A jury found Brown guilty of assault to armed robbery April 20, 1960, the pardon shows.

Brown was imprisoned at the Massachusetts Correctional Institute in Concord, Mass., and paroled Jan. 18, 1965.

There is no indication of the length of the sentence Brown received. It appears Brown was released before his parole date since he was found guilty of three speeding violations and four other motor vehicle violations in 1962 and 1964, pardon records reveal. He also was found guilty of five other motor vehicle violations from 1969 through 1972, his record shows. All the motor vehicle offenses occurred in Middlesex and Worcester County. In each case, Brown either paid the required fine or the offense was placed on file.

The Browns have been joined by several supporters sympathetic to their cause, some armed. They included a visit this week by Randy Weaver, whose wife and son were killed during the Ruby Ridge shoot-out with federal agents in Idaho in 1992.

Thanks grasshopper.  This is exactly what I said to the COPs at the police station Wednesday night, that even if/when you win, you actually lose in time and money spent, but not really a waste of such, as this is a learning experience for all of us, me hoping to set a precedent here, so that the 1984-"Thought Police"* don't go after anyone else.

Here's a first-draft of two motions I plan to file:

To: The Lebanon District Court

1. MOTION TO AMEND THE: ORDERS AND CONDITIONS OF BAIL...

...so as to continue the sentence.

A. NOW COMES the Defendant, Joseph S. Haas, of P.O. Box 3842, Concord, N.H. 03302, Tel. 603: 848-6059 (cell phone) and requests that the judge erase section III 1. on the Administrative Office of the Courts AOC-109-245 (12/02) form, and #5. on the "(12/03)" form so that I may continue the sentence of: "Wise up, or Die" a natural death. Or in other words: Wishful thinking*, not action.

B. Enclosed please find also my Motion for Discovery of the Affidavit alleging the RSA Ch. 631:4,I(d) "crime" of murder.  Although the sentence is being continued, the "object"ive or focal point, or focus is NOT on that side of the "or" word, but on the "or" word itself, as I've indicated in my Reply #4378 on page 292 at 11:41 PM yesterday, Thu., June 21st, a copy enclosed, see the "Thanks CHNT" posting over at http://newhampshireunderground.com/forum/index.php?topic=3868.4365

See also the Connecticut Report http://www.cga.ct.gov/2000/rpt/olr/htm/2000-r-0138.htm [from http://www.google.com for: "Criminal Threatening" elements], of Feb. 10 '00 with cases** cited and my Reply #27 on page 2 thereto of 4:33 AM this morning at http://newhampshireunderground.com/forum/index.php?topic=9345.15 on the "idle" word in that this addition to the right side of the word: "or" is NOT meant to "activ"ate, but if, in the judge's mind it does, then to DENY this Motion, and KEEP the focus on the "or" word at ALL times! ** See also what Spencer wrote 6/21 in Reply #6 that the government may prohibit "True threats" citing Virginia v. Black, 538 U.S. 343 (2003). The reason for any denial, after any objection within 10 days by Rule #__ from the prosecutor, is requested please, to include in such for the reason why.

Yours truly, - - - - - - - - - Joseph S. Haas

2. MOTION FOR DISCOVERY

The Defendant, Joseph S. Haas, hereby requests that the Police Dept. give/sell me (at #__ cents) a copy of the Affidavit for Arrest Warrant to see "how" they came to this killing conclusion by the "murder" word in line #2 of 3 at the bottom of the COMPLAINT #07CR1061. This be also a request for such by Art. 14 for in a "prompt" amount of time not to exceed five (5) business days by RSA Ch. 91-A of the Right to Know/ Freedom of Information statute here in our state of New Hampshire, http://www.state.nh.us

Thank you, - - - - - - - - - Joseph S. Haas, P.O. Box 3842, Concord, N.H. 03302, Tel. 603: 848-6059

P.S. Joan -- enclosed please find a $1.00 bill.  Would you please send me a photocopy of this 1-page "Arrest Warrant" as #1 or 2 of 2 in the file so far before the delivery of the two ORDERS AND CONDITIONS OF BAIL paperwork from Bail Commissioner Don Crate, and these two motions. Cost: 50-cents per copy, keep the change toward the cost of the stamp + envelope, etc. Thanks.
