Defender of Liberty,

You just played right into Romaks hand.... Another opportunity for him to attack Ed and Elaine.

How do you figure?  Because I don't agree with everything Ed says?  I probably don't agree with everything everyone else says either, but that doesn't mean that I don't agree with those things that I feel are important.  Often, Ed can be difficult to understand because he usually uses words in the context of their older or less common definitions, but I'm not going to write him off just because of that.  I don't think I have given anyone an opportunity to attack Ed and Elaine.

The proper paperwork, including copies of ALL correspondence with all agencies contacted, should be made available to the council with clear and unambiguous questions and requests, divided into separate sections, such that they are easily referenced, and cannot be glibly dismissed as a whole.

The Browns HAVE been harmed - Elaine's office - her property was unlawfully confiscated by a rogue federal agency, or agent of a private bank, the federal reserve.  State and town officials should have no OFFICIAL position on taxes that are outside of their legitimate jurisdiction.  They might as well have an official position on someone's business contract in Uzbekistan.

These guys are sleazy and slimy and slippery, and you need to file a formal request about the council's position of who is bound or exempt from RSA's.  You weren't asking for their ignorant personal opinions about what most people do or what they feel comfortable with.  You want an official reply to a written request.  You want to push them into a corner HARD and hammer them for an answer.  Then you want to formally request responses to the implications of their official positions.  Ideally, this should be done by a resident and constituent of Plainfield, so that they have legal standing.

If they have posted any kind of bond as part of their public office, you want to file claim to that bond for malfeasance, dereliction of duty, abuse of public office, etc.

Aside from not having immediate answers for certain questions and copies of pertinent documents, Bernie did a great job with his tone and presentation.  It puts a nice, reasonable public face on the requests, and now those requests have to be followed up with legal thumbscrews.

Keene Free Press, FTL, and Free Minds TV should contact the council for interviews, so that they can feel public pressure.

Can we throw a few hundred bucks to Evan Nappen or Tim Condon, or any other NH lawyers to provide guidance?  They could file official paperwork in a manner that could put far more pressure on the council than a few private citizens freestyling it.

Kola if youve been paying attention Ive never mentioned Elaine. So far as Im concerned she is just a victim in this, being dragged along by Ed. Ive seen nothing but strength in Elaine, she seems like a very nice lady. Id like nothing more than to see her freed from all of this bs where she could use her strength as a woman for something better. All of my statements have been directed towards Ed and Ed alone.

I now deputize (reporterize) you so that you can represent our paper and interview them. :)

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to go find this "resident and constituent of Plainfield"(*) maybe over at= http://www.plainfieldtaxpayers.org/plainfield/

Good luck.

Why are people pissed off??? From the moment you wake until the moment you go to sleep you are taxed by the Govt in some way. No sooner than you wake up and brush your teeth you pay a tax on your water bill, for those of you lucky enough to have a well you may think you avoid this tax but you pay a tax on your electric bill as well, and you need a pump to run that well. You get in your car to go to work and pay a gas tax, you drive down the road which your property tax pays to maintain, some of you may go through a toll which is another tax, you may park where you feed a meter which is another form of tax. You've only know gotten to work. Now you start working to pay your income, social security taxes. You go to lunch and if you buy your lunch you pay a tax on your food in most states, for those of you who make your lunch no worries you pay a tax at the grocery store when you buy that food. You leave work and go through the same process as you did in the morning. After a long day of work you sit down to enjoy a beer or a smoke and you pay alcohol/tobacco tax. For those of you who don't smoke/drink and just like to enjoy a good book or watch a good show no worries you pay a tax on your book purchases through a sales tax, and if you look at your cable bill there is a tax on that as well. Maybe you just want to call a friend to talk about your day, no worries again there is a tax on your phone bill as well. The very home you are sitting in you are paying a tax to live in. People say the only time you are  truly at peace is when you sleep. Your body is finally relaxed and getting that much deserved rest after working hard all day to support your family. But the Govt isn't satisfied with your day so they decide to tax you some more even while you sleep. Afterall that AC or fan your are running requires energy, and there has to be a tax on that as well. Ive tried real hard to actually find something we do in our daily activities that we aren't taxed on, and for the life of me I cant find anything. Since I'm at work right now writing my thoughts down on this forum I'm technically paying taxes to do that as well.

I have heard more than once this week how "Ed Brown is ruining it for the rest of us".
I don't agree.

Cool!

Haven't heard them, but, if 40 year of listening to Rock is any indication, I'll bet you can't understand the lyrics when the sing them ;)

I love the idea of the Feds sitting indoors eating donuts while we are out enjoying the outdoors and listening to music.

Yes, that telephone tax is a "3% excise tax" from which we all benefit, because WHO is the government but us. See http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/telecom/2006-05-25-phone-tax_x.htm

*See my re-type of the letter from the PUC that I did receive in yesterday's mail.

I also did file and get stamped my copy of the RSA 91-A request for this "48-hour Notice" by Granite State Electric, as indicated in my Reply #4270 on page 285 here of June 19th '07 @ 1:36 PM that was filed there at 4:31 PM but then found out later that I was mistaken as Ed said his electric power was from the Co-Op in Plymouth that the PUC says is NOT regulated by them. I told this to Bob Ronstock of the PUC- electric division by phone last week to thus correct my complaint.  (*)

Mr. Joseph S. Haas, P.O. Box 3842, Concord, New Hampshire 03302

Dear Mr. Haas:

--This is in response to your communication of June 15, 2007, transmitted to the Commission via email, as well as subsequent contacts you have had with representatives of the Commission's consumer affairs division.  Your inquiries concerned reports that two public utilities have terminated service to the Plainfield home of edward and Elane Brown.

--As you know, Mr. and Mrs. Brown are involved in ongoing federal law enforcement proceedings that have been widely covered in the media.  Consequently, the concerns you raise involve matters that are not within the Commission's regulatory jurisdiction and, therefore, are not resolvable by this agency. To the extent that your communications invoke the Right-to-Know Law, RSA 91-A, please be advised that the Commission is not in possession of any documents that are responsive to your request for information.

Sincerely, Donald M. Kreis, General Counsel."

Yours truly, Joe Haas

(*) P.S. I just called The New Hampshire Electric Co-op, 579 Tenney Mountain Highway, Plymouth, NH 03264 @ 1-800-698-2007, press 2, then 4 for billing, then 0, got me to Michelle who said that all complaints go to The #__ members of The Board of Directors, see http://nhec.com with their next meeting Tue., July 24th, then Tue., Aug. 21st @ __:__ o'clock a.m./p.m. My COMPLAINT being that this PRIVATE company thinks that the FEDERAL government can do no harm, that everything they/ the Feds WANT done IS done by this NHEC in not ASKing for WHERE the Feds got their "Consent"ed authority and WHEN as in the ORDER to jump, but they/ the NHEC merely ask: how high?  I'm supposed to call back to talk with the Supervisor, Cliff at Member Solutions to find out just WHO and WHAT was said plus WHEN by the Feds to WHO at this company to get them to turn off the power.  A notice to Cliff to read this Reply #______ here going to him at the e-mail of: "Solutions at nhec.com" right now.  I suspect that because this is not MY account #____________ that only the customer/member can make such a complaint, and so to have Ed or Elaine write to them for some discussion of this by the Board this month for me to see them, if not corrected, at next month's meeting.

RE: COMPLAINT against VERIZON.

Attn: Donald M. Kreis, General Counsel

--Thank you for your letter of July 5th postmarked July 6th and received in yesterday's mail.

--In addition to my June 15th '07 @ 10:49 AM e-mail I did more than what you write of mere 'subsequent contacts' with the PUC, by my actual filing of the signed 2-page print-out of the e-mail on June 15th @ 4:28 PM, with: (1) a copy of my Reply #3760 to the Executive Councilors during the Public Hearing on your boss' re-confirmation on Tue., June 12th, (2) the '3% excise tax' website print-out, (3) my question + answer to and from the Ashcraft law firm, (4) the certificate of Federal non-filing offered to the Feds by RSA 123:1** per 1-8-17 U.S.Const.* June 14, 1883 for 'concurrent jurisdiction' that was REFUSED, and (5) evidence by way of the U.S. Attorney manual that the 'other needful building's 'embraces courthouses'.

--Yes, 'Mr. and Mrs. Brown are involved in ongoing federal law enforcement proceedings' dealing with the income tax issues as I did spell out in paragraph #4 of my COMPLAINT, and THESE 'concerns' withIN paragraph #4 are "Consequently...not within the Commission's regulatory jurisdiction' BUT my COMPLAINT merely mentioned these for what happens every time of somebody putting up a roadblock as you have done, saying in effect: I pay my income taxes so why shouldn't they?

--My COMPLAINT is for the PUC to make a DECISION in regards to paragraph #3 of YES or NO, of whether the Feds have unlawfully* and/or illegally** interfered with my right as a consumer from what would have  been received as my infinitesimal share of this 3% TAX.

--Your opinion does NOT rise to that of a decision, and so when I called for you earlier this morning, the receptionist tried to reach Adelle Leighton, the secretary for Debra A. Howland, the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, thus, in effect, working my way up the chain-of-command to then: the COMMISSIONERS if needed to complain to both Graham J. Morrison, and former State Senator Clifton C. Below, that what I'm looking for is a hearing against VERIZON, your top man, Thomas B. Getz, the CHAIRMAN giving the G&C the impression that HE was THE man AND counsel for the PUC as needed for when the PUC meets at the national level, or have you now taken that position?

--According to Supreme Court Rule #__ against a state agency I must go ONE STEP BEYOND your mere one-man 'opinion' to that of a PUC Agency 'decision' in order to appeal any adverse decision to them within thirty (30) days thereafter.  It has now been twenty-six (26) days or almost one month from my original filing, and I still do not have a case #_______ and hearing day and time for when VERIZON can answer to my charges against them that they were WRONG to deprive me of my share of this tax for BELIEVING the Feds had the authority to TELL them to turn off the Browns telephone service, when I have the PROOF that they don't!  Thus needing this forum to decide, and if you or your agency continue to put up this stumbling block, I'll seek to have the governor FORCE you to be THE Art. 41 'proceeding'.
