Has anyone here ever fought in battle?
I will be blunt. This is war people and there is no room for honesty. War is about killing your enemy and there is no compromise.
The feds want to kill the Browns and onyone else who is there supporting them. This is obvious.
This information is limiting the Browns chances of survival. The game is being played my ruthless thugs. Being honest and upfront about every move the Browns make is jeopardizing their lives.
Not me.
Being honest is one of my goals.
I have my rules of engagement .... and it includes loving even my enemy, so it cannot include killing them. I shouldn't let the enemy decide my actions by switching to a "war" mentality.
The feds have not killed the Browns or any of their supporters ... yet. I am not absolutely sure that is their goal, but it may be.
I myself do not reveal every move of the Browns. I do not dig for info from them. I only report things they want released.

I respect your position Russell. Almost all the information I gathered was from Danny Riley's comments on last nights radio show.

Does Kat own a weapon?

"Danny Riley, a friend of the Browns who is also staying in the house, earlier reported that a vehicle had made its way onto the property but fishtailed and suddenly accelerated away from the scene."

I wonder where that happened. I didn't see any signs of that on the part of the driveway we were on. We did see 2 straight dirt sprayed tracks leading away from the edge of their property, but that was from yesterday afternoon by the local cop, according to one of the guys.

How can you respect my position? I don't think we should repay their evil by any force.

I am not that honest. ;D

If teh feds wanted the Browns dead, they could easily have killed them at any time in the last six months.

QuoteI would have thought Ed knew more about survival/war tactics

Ed's military expertise?  He was courtmartialed when he was a teenager, and as for his survivalist skills, I read that one of his trainees (a pastor) went home from a training session at the Plainfield home and accidentally shot himself in the chest showing off the new skills Ed had taught him to his family at the dinner table.

Seriously, if you believe that Ed has any chance whatsoever in an armed conflict against the US government, then I want some of what you're smoking.  He is outmanned, outgunned, and outsmarted in every way.  His odds are zero.

I think someone may have just been shooting off fireworks that were mistaken for gunshots.

Or teenagers who thought it would be fun to mess with the kooks.

Stop using email and MySpace for organizing.

Move this site to SSL, even if it's a self-signed cert, and only let people you already know and trust into the forums and topics Ed Brown.

And as for what information you do disclose publicly, learn about what the military calls operations security, and examine each piece of information you give out through that lens, before doing so.

You should do that.
Seriously, You should do that.

The crowd at Ed & Elaine's was a bit alarmed and bleary-eyed this morning, they had a tense night.  The sound of gunshots kicked all occupants into high alert.  They used phones and email to alert friends and soon were on the air at WTPN.  Ed got up in the tower with the bullhorn and said,"  You want to play?  Come on and play.  We're being broadcast live!"  A tired Danny said, "I sweated off 10 lbs last night... but when people thank me for supporting Ed & Elaine it makes it all worth it"  So I thanked him again.  A shaken Jim said he kept getting caught in the blazing searchlights from the house as he tried to cross the yard unseen last night.  Unlike their guests, Ed and Elaine looked composed this morning and were jovially chatting with the visitors arriving in response to the alert.  Facilitator and I were the first to search the woods for signs of boots or weapons, but only found deer tracks.  It will take a while to search 100+ acres for possible brass left behind.

I'm sure the federal marshals would like nothing more. It must be very frustrating for them to try three times to start a fight with a negative result. That helicopter thing was a pure waste of time and fiat currency. Although it would have been cool if it had a loudspeaker playing Flight of the Valkyries.

I wonder if the Federal Marshals paid attention in school. This sort of thing is exactly what caused this country to be formed in the first place. Those who forget history...

IMO they had no intentions of fighting. They created these situations with the sole purpose to gather information with secondary orders to kill if they were fired upon. They are not at all frustrated and they have pertinent information that will enable them to better design their strategy.

From battle experience and in these situations soldiers can create a huge pile of disinformation and use internet and radio to send  messages to confuse the enemy and keep them guessing. Some soldiers imploy the use of decoys (figures near windows that resemble people, floating boats in the water with blankets inside made to look like someone lying down). The soldiers then have the option to have real people by the windows and in the boats. Implement the use of various types of traps (if "animal" trapping is legal in a area) a soldier could be pegging down metal bear traps in the woods, and can set netting traps and dig shallow sinkhole traps as well. I personally like tripwire as it is highly effective and cheap. If jackboot mofos want to try tippy-toeing through tripwire at night they will have a hellava time. A soldier should have a large assortment of dogs, protection/attack dogs and "sniffer" dogs. At night a soldier could park all the cars facing out into the perimeter, with their engines running and bright headlights on.

This is a just a few samples of the tactics one can use. Without discharging a weapon one can put fear into the enemy and keeps them in a state of confusion and unknowns.

The feds are creating provocation and banking on inexperienced people (who are courageously trying to be soldiers) to make their fatal mistake. They want to creat havoc and raise the stress levels so Ed, Elaine etc fire the first shot. IMO this is their plan and I would have the same plan if I were thinking like the evil-bastard feds.

By just the mere mention of tripwire, I bet the JBT's will be walking gingerly on thier next "hiking" episode .

Wire at ankle level is highly effective.
Barbed cattle wire at neck/head level is effective too.

The JBT's will be instructed to step high to avoid the low wires. One could vary the heights at different locations.

Ed needs a few powerful spot lights, like the ones on Pigwagons. They make some other good ones as well. If they choose, two people should be continually scanning the property.
