It's not socialist near as much as it is just plain authoritarian and totalitarian. Plenty of dictators have done similar things to people who called themselves "socialists".

Wow. That sorta makes the reality of it hit home. That you can be sent to jail just for associating with someone wanted by the government.

That's the connection between this thread and Real ID.  If you have had anything to do with the Browns the Feds could single you out, isolate you and individually intimidate you.  They would know who you are, who you have talked to and where you are at any given time.
They would not have to wait for you to roll up to their road block.  They could electronically block your purchase of gasoline or groceries, until they have had a little chat with you (to their satisfaction).

The fight is now and it is real.
This is a war that will not be fought with guns.
This is a war of resolve.

There where people on Center of Town Road, who where going to the Brown Concert, who did not even have the resolve to take pictures of Lauren walking through the Fed Barricade.  There are people who favor the Browns who could not come to their concert.  I'm sure there are people who can not even post on this nonviolent thread form fear of the government.  How could anyone think there are people enough to do violence on the scale of a war.

Stand up people, they are not going kill you.
Lauren took on 20 armed Federal Agents.  She lost her camera.
You can stand a hundred feet down the road and cheer her on.

I wouldn't believe that if it were a guarantee signed by God Himself. Their track record kind of sucks on that account now doesn't it.

They didn't kill me today, but tomorrow is another day.

But if I can borrow a statement:

They may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom!

lauren, altho technically she was just *trying* to associate with them by walking toward the neighborhood that contains their house.

They might kill you, but they won't eat you.

No one is going to kill you for holding a sign.
Or for standing 100 feet away taking a picture.

And their record on that does not suck.  You actually have to get out there and push for them for them to even take notice of you.
They are lazy, they do not want to have to deal with you and they will not even bother with you unless you enter their domain and threaten them.
For those of you who actually fear them, they will tell you when they have had enough of you, they will warn you that they will arrest you and they will not arrest you if back up slightly.

And Yes, this is the guarantee that the natural god has signed for me.

I think it would be very affective to have a hundred people, who where to afraid to stand next to Lauren, to at least stand out on a ridge and give Lauren a back drop.

I shook Randy Weaver's hand at the Brown's. I imagine he would disagree with your opinion. He is minus one wife and one son.

I'm with you on standing up. I'm disagreeing on the nature of the enemy.

Who has been sent to jail for simply associating with the Browns?

Not me.  I've been up there a few times since January, and did ask Gary about that UNION NEWS article (today when I saw him in court) where Kristen Senz wrote that that Order (signed by Judge __________ on _______________ in document no. __ in File #______) was only for that particular day of the concert.  Paragraph #1 of the unsigned red sheet (I asked Gary if he'd sign it, he got out his pen, but stopped in mid air) of the "may" word Gary said was related to the "may" word in #2 too, but I don't think so. #1 reads that "no one may enter" as in only by "permission" backed up with that "express authorization of the U.S. Marshals Service", whereas withOUT such authorization (anybody ought to get in writing like a hall "pass"? in High School), they/the Feds "may" prosecute, that "may" decision out of the Marshals' hands, as in the decision by the U.S. Attorney. So in effect Ed is "in the custody of the U.S. Marshals" now, and the clock is ticking off the days of his sentence, and like for equal rights, to maybe be allowed up there for visiitng days on Sundays for church services.

Bernie had a private meeting with Gary, and about half the times I visited Ed & Elaine I told Gary ahead of time either in person, on the phone to him, or to his recorder, that I was going to be in the area, and that maybe he'd like to join us up there in some "parlay".

I'll be in Newport District Court tomorrow @ my 11:00 a.m. trial on the "Wise up or Die" case, and would like to visit Ed & Elaine to tell them how it went, and other stuff like the Supremes throwing out my case against the PUC for their refusal to have a Public Hearing against VERIZON for NOT taking in evidence that the Feds have no jurisdiction since they are in a non-filing mode to N.H. RSA 123:1 from 1-8-17 U.S. Constitution, which certificate copy of the Jan. 11th '07 signing from the Office of Secretary of State I mailed to both Danny and Bob in Strafford County jail today, as also indicated on Bob's shirt as advertised in court.  A #10 envelope packet that cost $1.31 in postage each was sent to each along with photocopies from Ch. 37 of McNamara's CRIMINAL PRACTICE AND PROCEDURE book I got to copy from the N.H. State Library.  Ch. 37 deals with an Habeas Corpus Petition with the form on page 73 that was the silver bullet that got me a Get Out of Jail free card back in the early 1990s, so I know first-hand that it works!

Yours truly, Joe Haas

P.S. Bill, In the envelope to Danny I also placed a $____ bill so that he can buy another phone card (*) to chat with you about his case going to court this Wed., Sept. 19th @ 9:30 a.m. in Concord, so said Janice in the Clerk's office to me this afternoon between breaks, and who also said that there was no word yet on the other two (2) cases of: Jason or Reno.

note: tomorrow I might also visit the Plainfield Town Hall to get a copy of Ed's property card, and that of his boundaries with the neighbors to the west and east of him along Center of Town Road on the Town Map #__  "They" canNOT "get you" for going up to the border of his property, but just WHERE is that?  In order to be charged with a crime you have to be in a knowing state of existence.  And what about the hunters this fall?  Is the Fish & Game going to maybe help the neighbors post their property? NOT against trespassing, as for "current use" less tax you've got to keep it open for hikers too, BUT to serve as another WARNing that beyond that point may be booby traps you would not want to set foot into such devices, without a cell phone to call 9-1-1 for emergency medical assistance. That was funny in court today when Bob's attorney told the Magistrate that Bob was with a Fish & Game Club, and Muirhead's comment that got a chuckle was that he should have been Gone Fishing more than on the gun side of the membership.  >:D

Modification: not phone "call", but a telephone "card", cost: $_____ each from the Commissary.

I've shaken hands with Randy several times and his story is a big reason that I'm in this war.  But going off into the woods and thinking that they will not come after you is a mistake.  When you are hidden so are they.  They will do anything they want when there is no obvious wrong doing on their part.
Confront them out in the open.
Make recordings of what is happening.   They hate having paper trails on themselves as much as they like having paper trails on you.
Use a camera.  If they don't act as The Fool in front of the camera, that's alright.  They are afraid of the camera...and that is your tool.

Man stays jailed in Browns case
He's accused of aiding tax-resisting couple

A Vermont man charged with helping Plainfield tax protesters Ed and Elaine Brown escape capture agreed yesterday to stay in jail until his November trial.

Prosecutors argued that Robert Wolffe, 50, of Randolph, Vt., had provided support to the Browns by lending them a car, acting as a conduit for supplies and spending time at their fortified home with weapons. According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Arnold Huftalen, Wolffe told investigators that he intended to fight and die for the Browns if marshals tried to capture them. He was one of four Brown supporters arrested by marshals last week.

The Browns, who were both convicted of a series of tax-related crimes, have remained holed up in their fortified concrete home for months, threatening violence if marshals come to arrest them. The Browns contend that they are not liable for federal income taxes and have attracted the attention and support of others who share their views and their disdain for the federal government. They have endured with the help of a range of supporters, who have brought food, weapons, cell phones and other supplies.

In a court hearing yesterday, Huftalen tried to make the case for Wolffe's continued detention, arguing that Wolffe was a danger to the community and likely to flee if he was released from federal custody. According to Huftalen, marshals found Wolffe's home filled with strategically located weapons, including an AK-47 and a Ruger rifle when they visited to interview his wife, Valeri, the day Wolffe was arrested. When they returned later with a search warrant, all of the weapons had been hidden in the back of her SUV, along with noise protection earmuffs, several full boxes of ammunition and two packed suitcases. In an interview that night, Valeri Wolffe told marshals that she'd planned to pick up her husband after his release and go away for a few days, Huftalen said.

"The defendant was planning to flee, most likely to the Browns' house, where the defendant stated he was willing to fight and die," Huftalen said.

Huftalen said that Valeri Wolffe told an internet radio host that she and her husband had communicated using code words on the day of his arrest, a contention that Wolffe's attorney disputed. When marshals searched Valeri Wolffe's work computer at the Department of Transportation, they found a 62-page document, sent by her husband, "which can best be described as a book on how to kill government agents," Huftalen said. One chapter was titled "Let's get lethal."
Paul Garrity, Wolffe's lawyer, argued that Wolffe was a nonviolent man with strong ties to his Vermont community. He said that actions undertaken by Wolffe's wife ought not to reflect badly on his client. Valeri Wolffe packed the weapons in the car, Garrity said, only after she was advised to do so by the radio host. He also said that Wolffe had not read the book found on his wife's work computer because he had been unable to open the file himself. The weapons, he said, had been purchased legally.

"He's basically a peaceful person with some pretty strong views," Garrity said.

According to Garrity, Valeri Wolffe had videotaped her husband's interview with investigators. He said the interview had "been totally misconstrued by the government," and he offered to show the recording to the judge as proof. Just before the video would have aired in the courtroom, Wolffe agreed to remain in jail.

During the hearing, the prosecutor also reviewed allegations against Wolffe made in his grand jury indictment and an affidavit used to obtain his arrest warrant. According to the document, Wolffe delivered more than 500 pounds of dehydrated food along with camouflage outfits, fishing weights, fishing line and solar-powered security lights to the Browns. The items were among those on a long list of requested supplies posted on the internet. The list also included roofing nails, garage door openers, smoke grenades, night vision goggles and flare guns.

U.S. Marshal Stephen Monier has confirmed reports that there are "dangerous conditions" on the Brown property. Ed Brown has bragged that there are traps in the woods surrounding his house. Other court documents allege that the Browns have black powder explosive grenades and may have other improvised explosive devices.

Wolffe is a longtime friend of Ed Brown and the Vermont commander of the U.S. Constitution Rangers, a national anti-government group that Ed Brown once led. He was one of four supporters of the couple who were arrested last week and charged with helping the Browns escape capture. Wolffe only faces one charge, for aiding and abetting the Browns. But the three other men face more charges, for conspiring to impede federal officers and for providing weapons to the Browns.

Jason Gerhard, 22, of Brookhaven, N.Y.; Cirino Gonzalez, 30, of Alice, Texas; and Daniel Riley, 40, of Cohoes, N.Y., will all be in court for similar detention hearings later this week. Riley's hearing had been scheduled for yesterday but was postponed at his request. Gerhard and Gonzalez are awaiting transport from Missouri and Texas, where they were arrested. Monier said they may reach New Hampshire by tomorrow.
