I understand that the responders never intended to join Ed in his "last stand", but I just remember hearing about the impressive turn-out back when they seized Elaine's office, and how everyone was saying that the turnout is what stopped a raid.

Of course the pigs did do this right after arresting the four supporters to scare people off, too.

All the media coverage I've seen has been portraying the Browns as the new Branch Davidians.  :-\ I support whatever protests y'all can put together, but I can't help but be depressed at the thought of the Browns just disappearing into the prison system, being spit on by the media the whole way.  :'(

The truth is, there was no 'impressive turn-out' when they seized Elaine's office.  The raid was not stopped or even interfered with.  There was a few people who showed up at Ed's, but only a few of the gun rubbers came.

The other truth of it is, that if you gun rubbers can't be out on the street tomorrow holding a sign in support of the Browns, you are never ever going to have the guts to stand on line with your highly polished pea shooter.

"you gun rubbers"? I'm no gun rubber. I don't even have a gun, though that's a situation that will shortly be remedied.

I was just commenting based on what I'd heard from what happened when they seized Elaine's office, mainly what I heard on FTL. Like I said, I'm not faulting any one for "failing" to "save" Ed and Elaine, or anything like that. I was just wondering how the Feds were able to pull it off.

I apologize Pug.  I did not mean you.

Don't worry about it.  ;) I hope you can put together a good protest, and I wish I could be there.

So they have moved them to an unnamed federal facility... anyone have any idea where?

While the Browns' location(s) might be unnamed, they're not in any "federal facility". Just technically speaking, of course, in case someone was trying to looking up federal prisons or detention centers. The USMS contracts with local jails for all their prisoners. It will be at least 1-2 months before the Browns are designated to, and arrive at, a federal prison. In the meantime, they will be held in whatever local jail the Marshals choose.

Sounds like the cops gassed the place, or used some other nefarious method to trick or incapacitate the Browns. Note the cop explicitly stated that the Browns did not surrender.

"I think it's great that it happened without incident," said David Grobe, who lives about a quarter of a mile from the Browns. He's a former patient of Elaine Brown, who used to run a dental practice.

Grobe said he noticed "an unusual amount of traffic all of a sudden" passing by the house, about 30 to 40 cars, about the time of the arrests. "There was no real indication that it was official."

Neither he nor neighbor Robert Carpenter said they heard anything unusual. Carpenter said there were no marked cruisers, but a lot of large SUVs. "We called Plainfield Police and they called back and told us what was going on," he said.

Supporters of the Browns' cause called them leaders who were trying to protect their freedom.

"In many ways this was like a stab in the heart," said Mike Chambers, a talk show host on Republic Broadcasting Network, an Internet-based radio program based in Round Rock, Texas that has defended the Browns in the past. "All they said was, 'Show us the law.'"

On another Web site, supporter David Ridley of Manchester said Brown supporters should take part in "peaceable protests" at places such as the U.S. District Court.

I have a few guesses, which I won't discuss here because they would use those ideas on the
next victimless crime suspects.  >:(

Can the Browns just pay the fines and avoid jailtime?

They will probably go to Strafford County jail like I did and where Bob and Danny are. But they could go anywhere.
You can go to the closest representation of the federal government and voice your opinion. I am sure they will know what you are talking about.
