As for Driving Licenses, I'll put it to you this way, and maybe then you'll understand. When the day comes that some jackass crashes their car into your 18 year old daughters car, and it turns out that they didn't have a drivers license, and on top of that, they provided the cops with false information about who they were, then you too will be mad as a hornets nest because as your daughter walks around crippled for the rest of her life, the son of a bitch who was irresponsible and not even man enough to own up to the fact that they just ruined someone else's life, walks away.

And if this jackass had a driver's license, I guess I wouldn't be mad. No, wait—I guess the accident would've been impossible in the first place. After all, the gummint said he knew how to drive.

My exwife had a car totalled in CA by a 15 year old Mexican. The DL laws didn't help her.
I have driven off with just a ticket with a suspended license in CA. I had attained mexican status.
I don't want to tell people they can or cannot drive a car. So I don't want to pay for or support a government that does.

They use attack dogs in some prisons to extract them from cells and other compliance issues.

Seriously, there is nothing "magical" about age 16.  It's not like children wake up on their 16th birthday and suddenly decide they know how to drive and they're responsible.  As others have pointed out -- we made it for decades without this age limit on driver licenses.

that is a very good video ... it was very uncomfortable when the cops stood watch over Jim. Jim had not initiated the situation ... he was just a victim of the thugs like Lauren.
