Dan and Dale, I put your posts and artwork up on freelaurencanario.com.  If there's a problem with that, I can take it down.  Thanks for the help for lauren!

That's wonderful, Kat. I do have a small request though. In your post, in place of "Dale Everett" could you put "Dale at Anarchy In Your Head" and make the "Anarchy In Your Head" a link back to http://anarchyinyourhead.com ? That would be great!

Kat Kanning

Sure thing Dale. :)

Someone suggested to me that a judicial complaint should be filed because Lauren is being denied due process.  Not something I'd do, but if someone wants to do that, it'd be cool.

Lauren isn't trying to change driver licensing laws. She is trying to live her life free of government oversight.
maybe she is doing both ... we can ask her in a letter

pretty good article in the UL ... some of the comments are scary ... if we don't like the laws we should go to the middle east? ... I bet if I went to Iraq they would demand that I show them a drivers license ... oh yeah ... the empire stretches all the way around the world.

The world is full of authoratarian coutnries.
This is supposed to be the free one. If you love laws so damn much why don't you move to China?

Uhh, some people are such fucking idiots.  >:(

Russell Kanning

I think for the guys who love laws ... they have created their little paradise here :( ... but maybe we can regain some freedom back .... I can't think of a better way than the way Lauren has chosen.

Me neither. I'm very sorry she has to go through this at all. But in a way, I'm glad. Look at all they're doing; all the force they're wielding in an attempt to make others see as they do. What happens? Not only is she not cracking, but others are rising above the level they might have if they didn't have this to fuel them.

I'm not sorry to say that I all but get off watching a bully's antics only fuel the resolve of the downtrodden.

A little OT to demonstrate if I may. Regard this article:

http://www.tcsdaily.com/article.aspx?id=101907B

Paritcularly this quote: "Katz's school, though, has offered parents a way to show their disapproval by allowing them to transfer their children to other teachers. Out of 170 students in her classes, only one asked to be transfered and many more have offered to transfer in if any slots open up."

An oppressor tries to use their weight to shame somebody for believing differently from them. So instead, they make them feel ashamed for acting contrary to what the people want. Good for those kids/parents! Good for Miss Canario and everybody rising up in response!

Every one of those scary comments has been drilled one way or another into the commenter's heads by the government-directed educational system.  The chains may weigh lightly upon them, but they are sternly forged and will take long, diligent effort to break.

Russell Kanning

it seems as though the chains are heavy for some of these folks ... they are bitter that someone questions the system or that they have to pay for it.

mvpel

It doesn't even occur to them that they shouldn't have to pay for it, or that questioning it is even rational.

The views on the arrest video really jump in the last two days.

People are also showing their displeasure by trying to bring the rating down.

The hate just gives wind to the sails of Lauren's stand against the branding of us by the government.

8) That's a good song, I like it.
If someone redid it, do you think it would be good if it were done in a screaming Jim Hendrix fashion?

What you don't love my Perry Como voice?  ;D

Yeah it would be much better if someone that could sing did it. :P  ;D

Just one of the "experiments" in writing/recording I had done before, seemed somewhat appropriate for the where are your papers theme.

Jim Johnson

No, man, the Perry Como thing is great.  I'd hate to have be Elizabeth and resist your smooth talk (you would too), but the sting of an angry, I'm really mad, purple haze, 'excuse me, while I kick yur ass', might work with song.
