just breezed through texark going east
I am checking traffic on kats laptop and verizon wireless box

Just curious...

Did your GPS/map/traffic/whatever tell you to take the loop around the south side, or 59 to 30 and then east?

I get calls from truckers wanting directions all the time, and most don't seem to know the loop exists.

Kat Kanning

We were just going straight across 30 from Dallas this time.  Didn't see any loop.

Ah, okay. I thought you were probably coming back up 59.

When you took exit 220 on Thursday, that was the western end of the loop. If you hadn't gotten off at the 59 South exit, it would have carried you around the south side of town and back to I-30 on the Arkansas side.

Like I said, I get 2-3 calls a week from drivers looking for directions, so I was just curious what the truck-driving GPS stuff says.

Kat Kanning

Ah, we don't have one yet.  They cost a couple hundred dollars.

talked to my daughter for a half hour last night .... hopefully I can take her golfing sometime this summer :)
She said my son Joe is the medic for 51 marines .... who spend their time dismantling and shipping back buildings and such from Afghanistan. I guess he is there for industrial accidents instead of bombs or bullet wounds.

So, you're spending your dock time looking at T&A on the internet. Does Kat know?
