These things scare the Hell out of me.

http://www.infowars.com/spy-drone-almost-causes-mid-air-collision-with-jet-over-denver/

"A mystery object, thought to be a military or law enforcement drone, flying in controlled airspace over Denver almost caused a catastrophic mid air crash with a commercial jet Monday."

"Earlier this week, the federal government announced that the Air Force might be dispatching drones to a backyard near you. The stated purpose of these spies in the sky is to assist local police to find missing persons or kidnap victims, or to chase bad guys"

Unlicensed pilots operating drone aircraft in Illinois airspace

"The U.S. Air Force currently requires fully qualified pilots to remotely operate unmanned drones -- the Army does not."

"The FAA said it has met a key congressional requirement to streamline the integration of unmanned drone aircraft, known as UAVs, into U.S. airspace by 2015 – allowing public agencies to operate drones with fewer restrictions."

I guess when a normal pilot runs into one of these it will  be  officially his fault.

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – With the use of domestic drones increasing, concern has not just come up over privacy issues, but also over the potential use of lethal force by the unmanned aircraft.

Drones have been used overseas to target and kill high-level terror leaders and are also being used along the U.S.-Mexico border in the battle against illegal immigration. But now, these drones are starting to be used domestically at an increasing rate.

The Federal Aviation Administration has allowed several police departments to use drones across the U.S. They are controlled from a remote location and use infrared sensors and high-resolution camera

Russell Kanning

i guess the city and county drones will start banging into the state and federal ones petty soon

see we all need to build bunkers

Pat K

Insert JFK voice here=We pledge to shoot down all the drones we can during this decade not because it is easy, but because it is right.
Because when tyranny is launched from the sky free people come together to bear the burdens of shooting that tyranny down. This should launch a new era of renewed interest in math, science and ballistics. Every American should say it loud and say it proud- I am a drone killer.

Russell Kanning

I can see you doing that voice PatK. I also saw footage of jfk the other day again. Boy was his head a funny shape and size .... kinda the opposite of obama's little oval head .... big and square.

"NANTICOKE, Md. (AP/WBOC)- The U.S. Coast Guard says an unmanned Naval aircraft has crashed on Maryland's Eastern Shore and there are no injuries.

A spokeswoman for the Patuxent River Naval Air Station's Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons program says a 44-foot unmanned aircraft on a routine maintenance flight crashed near Bloodsworth Island in southern Dorchester County at around noon Monday.

U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Jonathan Lindberg said the Coast Guard is setting up a safety zone around the marshy area."

"The Homeland Security Department ordered so many drones it can't keep them all flying and doesn't have a good plan for how to use them, according to a new audit that the department's inspector general released Monday."

Russell Kanning

good times
I keep looking up thinking one will be landing near me

Lloyd Danforth

Landing is good! You could:

1) Beat it with a baseball bat.

2) Sell it on Ebay.

3) Ship it too me.

Russell Kanning

maybe paintball shots to add graffitti

There's not nearly enough anxiety for me!

WASHINGTON (AP) — The prospect that thousands of drones could be patrolling U.S. skies by the end of this decade is raising the specter of a Big Brother government that peers into backyards and bedrooms.

The worries began mostly on the political margins, but there are signs that ordinary people are starting to fret that unmanned aircraft could soon be circling overhead.

Jeff Landry, a freshman Republican congressman from Louisiana's coastal bayou country, said constituents have stopped him while shopping at Walmart to talk about it.

"There is a distrust amongst the people who have come and discussed this issue with me about our government," Landry said. "It's raising an alarm with the American public."
