Two points, I compared how many views sgtmc's most recent post had compared to this thread since you and he both posted within 5 minutes of each other.  Both had five views which implies just as many people are reading his comments as yours so whether you read them or not, what gives you any more or less authority to post here then he does?

Secondly, as a free stater you of all people should live by the rule that people can do as they wish as long as they do not harm others.  Even if he does nothing but badmouths freestaters words do not cause harm.

I would sooner see a thousand people posting things I disagree with then resort to censoring and/or banning those we dislike and disagree with.  I expect censorship from BlueHampshire, not from this site.

I like a few others went over to see if I could pick a coherent sentence out of sgtmc's post, that's why he has hits.

One reason the Sgt has hits is because some of us read EVERY message on the forum.

Lloyd has more rights on this forum because he's a moderator and it's his JOB to keep the forum cleaned up.

I have in the past replied to some of the Sgt's messages and he does not respond with anything other than more rambling complaints.

I only click on them because it's the easiest way to make sure all posts are marked "read".

I give them a glance to see if they're anything more than the same rambling incoherent rants. It takes about two seconds to see that they're not, and I'm done.

Fair enough.  My only concern is when you start telling people to stay off this forum it implies you only want those who agree with you posting here.

Personally I think people become better by reading and listening to those who they disagree with more then those they agree with because you get a better understanding of what people see wrong with your arguments and in some cases you can change your own views to something even better to win them over or at the very least do a better job explaining your own views so it might win them over.

I've read sgtmc and I agree most of the time I have a hard time following him but once in a while he makes good points or at least brings up points worth looking into further on other venues.

Other than that, I dunno what I would do as a moderator.  My speciality over on the FSP board is banning spammers and you don't seem to have a big problem with them here.
