Gomer is such an unfortunate name.  Not to mention Pyle!  Gomer was also the whore that the prophet Hosea was instructed to marry.  He kept having to track her down and get her to quit her whoring.  Sad story.  He always forgave her and brought her back, seemed to really love her.  Hosea got to be an example of how God kept forgiving Israel, despite them whoring themselves with false gods.
