i think that 2 keep it simple and consistant we were talking (last year) about settling into always the last sunday of sept.
i also think noon to 5 still works

Hearing no objection, and relying on John's memory, I propose we add the Applefest to the Shire calendars as the last Sunday in September. 

**In ADDITION, since Applefest starts at noon, Tony plans to run a mini-Appleseed shoot at Jerry's place in the morning.  Shooters clean and oil your .22 rifles.  We will have 4 or 5 loaners for those folks who don't own one yet.

**Shoot is cancelled.  Too much other stuff going on that day.
After the Applefest at John's church we will have a bonfire at Hoyt farm with a potato-gun salute to Lloyd.

The apple press is hiding under a tarp in my shed.  If it hasn't been invaded by carpenter ants it should be fine, but the Curmudgeon will probably do a pre-season inspection.

The strainer is in poor shape.  It has split seams so a new one would be nice.
