I'd like to have grounds ready well in advance. Lets say by next weekend.
I'm not good at asking for help, BUT i need some/LOTS. (i'm working full-time.)

some things on the list:
2 sections of fence need to be removed to open up yard.
This years "feat of strength" will be to move the Planet Aid donation box just a short distance. But, man is it heavy!
Lloyd's Antique Apple Press will be inside the yard this year and an area needs to be prepped for it.
At least 2 Gazebos need to be sett up.
Etc.

Anybody willing to help should stop by at their convenience.
I'll need to be away for several hours this a.m., early on Thursday, and for about one hour on Saturday morning, but should be here working at almost all other times.

Perhaps a work party for next weekend is in order.
I'll clear everything from my shcedule and leave both Sat. & Sunday afternoons open...

Everybody loves costumes and wacky fun!

Perhaps a little marketing on Rt. 4 is in order...
What do ya'll think? Ewes Guys.

One of the last known photos of Lloyd.

Forgive me for intruding, John, but I put an announcement on Peaceful Assembly Church website for this event.  Ridley needed an easier URL to point to for an ad.  Feel free to edit.  I'm not sure what events are happening.

That is very cool art.  :glasses1:

I will not be able to make the Apple Festival again.  :'(

I can't say no to a bunch of ladies with guns...

I have not 1 but 2 SAS events that day.

So here's the solution.  You shoot the bad apples in Grafton...We can launch them from a genuine Lloyd Danforth potato launcher.  Sort of like skeet, but fruitier.   That way you get your target practice and the cider is safe for the Apple Fest attendees.    ;D

#82
spent half my Peaceful Assembly Church/Apple Fest preparation day on this. :)
to make yard more open: section of fence removed (and propped up along rail-trail (east) side), and a concept-experiment (Torri Arch inspired) arch created and installed...

Oh, and i almost got it level. We'll get that right when Maria gets here.

Now all you need is a climbing plant to cover it all and age it:-)

Checking to see if the liberty wookie might make it

Appley goodness being prepared in the Kitchen...  mmm...

Becky had to go to a different orchard than she normally uses, Harlow's had 100 percent crop failure from spring frost and hail damage. Hope the Cortlands are as good from Allison's.

Bike riding and shooting video of some Grafton activities will be our first "Tour de Shire" footage.

Others are welcome to join in on the fun.

i think Peaceful Assembly Church grounds are looking - well, "acceptable":
fresh "random" purple "flag" is up on poll,
"flag" poll moved to north west corner,
basketball court has fresh paint,
stage could use much more work, but will only get just a bit more - time has run out for this.
Government Violence Victims Monument area is freshened up,
main front planter is weed whacked,
PLEASE DON'T TREAD ON OTHERS parking lot "banner" is "about half done" - - - seems "reasonably presentable,"
moved, weed whacked, and raked rail trail area,
weed whacked more around yard area,
I'M FREAKING EXHAUSTED!
still need to pick up incidental stuff from yard - and move some more furniture to yard, etc.
still need to get flier (and banner) for recruiting to volunteer ambulance and fire team
still need to now get the indoors back into some sort of reasonableness for our regular Sunday meeting at 11:00a.m....
