I'm all busted up about this.  I'll miss Lloyd and all his jokes. :-\

John

Very :( 4 the news.
& very :-) 2 know Lloyd Danforth.
We will be remembering and sharing nice stories about our friend at Peaceful Assembly Church this Sunday.

btw - I'm as sure as anything that when Lloyd got up to heaven God smiled a very big smile, and said, "Lloyd, you lived your life as you very well knew you should. You did this without seeing any reward here in heaven nor threat of hell below. You, my friend, lived right simply because you knew it was right. Welcome Home..."

Russell Kanning

So bob posted the service time on a separate thread

LLoyd trivia ..... his real first name was Bob or actually it might have been Lloyd Bob but his family called him Bobby but he wanted all of his new friends in NH to call him Lloyd. And he probably had 100 friends in NH :)

also little known is that he started with 1 L but stole one of mine whenever someone wanted to degrade me. I nominate LLoyd for a Shire sainthood. Do we vote on this or something at the PAC? I dont know how saints are normally decided. He and Pat McCotter could be our first couple.

Becky Thatcher

I think you need to have a miracle attributed to you to become a saint...and have it voted on.

Lllloyd could turn milk into a damn fine cheese...and pieces of wood into toys and picnic tables.  He's got my vote. :D

Russell Kanning

oh yea see the irish lass knows this stuff
or hwo about a Shire hall of fame or a list of the revered members of Robin Hoods merry men?

That's why Seth decided the Lloyd's Birthday U.N. Flag burn would be a memoriall service.  :)

When I 1st got to NH Lloyd was one of our best friends. We probably hung out with him more than anyone else besides PatMc who he shared an apartment with while they where both part time from CT.
I only went to 2 political meetings in NH. We once went to an NHLA training session but we left early after that old politician guy told us we were doing ti all wrong.
The other time was when they invented the NH Rep Liberty Caucus. That time we sat with Lloyd (after driving with him) all night and could make jokes about the politicians. Having my buddy Lloyd there made it livable. :)

I was thinking about when we went up to VT to work on a cabin with him, and sat plinking cans with his .22 off the porch.... :)

Russell Kanning

that was fun
we did some work on the old log cabin it was on a north slope in the northeast kingdom area the house seemed to be moving downhill each spring ..... it would make Tom and Becky's house look high and dry and stable in Maine. :)

So the presidents mom and dad live in a stable in maine eh ?  Well now we're getting somewhere....good work Agent Kanning.  :P

KBCraig

Stable? Wait, was the president born in a manger?
