Karl and Lalania got engaged this week.
Joel and Amy got engaged this week.  They're getting married on Feb. 11th.
Dawn and Bill have been engaged.  They're getting married New Year's Eve.

Pat K

Congrats to all.

Dawn and Bill, this New Years Eve WoW.

If we had it to do over again, our wedding would have been just the same (our pastor and our family), but we'd have omitted that scrap of paper from the county government.

(Although, the license process was pretty funny when we had to swear that we weren't related, which prompted tales about the biological father and daughter who applied for a wedding license under false names... )

Anyhoo, congratulations to all the promised couples. I hope they leave the state out of it, but if they don't, I won't condemn them. I'll stand with them and hope the best for their marrigaes.

Which reminds me...

If a couple from Arkansas gets divorced, are they still considered brother and sister? ;D

Yes.  We can come celebrate with them afterward, but they're just having a small private ceremony.

Whew! I thought I had to rent a tux!  And then try not to spill scotch on it.

Birds do it, Bees do it,
Even educated fleas do it,
Let's do it!
Let's fall in looooooooooooove

Oh my goodness, so much love in the air!  :)

Speaking of weddings and liberty, I have been refining that song into something that could fit all who moved here, met someone, etc...even if some are involving the gov't in their wedding agreements by getting that 'piece of paper'. LOL

I am having so much fun playing the guitar when I should be working, yes I know!

Anyway, here are some new lyrics for the complete song that yes, don't rhyme when just read, but if you know how this song goes you will see how the words fit to make a parody version....(hope Pete Yorn doesn't mind what I did to his song!)

I, won't live on a chain
Even though, we'll have the same last name
Our friends, they sent a bottle of whiskey
As we choked, we knew this made us feel dirty

We were waitin' in NH, for life to begin
Lookin' for some liberty, and then you were
MY sunshine, heading up MY front line
I was alone, but you were just around the corner from me!

Time away is good, I spend my days in New Hampshire
Other neighborhoods, you know you'll never convince me
So I sold my town away, couldn't wait to forget it
I was here in half a day, hadn't time to regret it

And we were waitin' over here, for life to begin
Looking for some liberty
Soon it was OUR sunshine, headin' up OUR front line
You were alone, and I was just around the corner from you!

OK that's the final version of the Libertarian Love Song!

LOL! I am in love with NH, with my friends, with my new guitar, and with life itself!
And it's real life that inspires most songs isn't it?
? ? ? ? :-* :-* :-* :-*

Hey Kat, should I have called it the Libertarian Wedding Song?
I really love the arrangement which of course is compliments of Pete Yorn!
I can't wait for the mando player to get hold of it.
