Thinking of phones mine has had tons of static on it for months now and I don't know why. :-\  I have 2 corded phones and both of them have it, I don't even like talking on the phone anymore.  It can't be that both cords have gone bad at the same time, can it?

It's driving me nuts!

You have a bad connection, somewhere in the phone wiring.  You'll need to call the phone company to have it corrected.

It's almost always in their part of the line, so the bigger chance is that it would be free to you.
