How to look up a house sale price?

I'm trying to confirm the price of a recent real estate sale in Merrimack. I've located a sale record online (and it was very enlightening) but I'd like to officially confirm it if possible. I believe I can call someone in the county seat and I'm wondering if anyone knows specifically who I should be contacting. Also, if anyone has access to non-active MLS records I'd be interested in seeing the listing on this property. Thanks for any help.

Town hall should have records of any transactions.  Also in Merrimack the sales of real estate are printed in the Merrimack News Connection.  It generally takes a couple weeks before they print the sale though.

Do you have the MLS number?
I think I know a site where I can try.
