I don't see the 2/17 protest on the index page, but it's on the calander.

However I'm sure it's a safe bet that if the hearing is happening, the protest will be happening

If anyone is in doubt about this at the last minute, you can call the building inspector himself to verify that the zoning meeting is still on at the time listed above.

I'm planning on being there.  We need to keep up the pressure on these people.  I don't want their delay tactics to help them!

What can we do that's new or interesting at this protest?  Any ideas?

How about everyone who walks in to the meeting, we try and tell them what they  can do with their own property?  "You may not wear those slacks with that shirt."  "You may not keep your wallet in that pocket."

Russell Kanning

It will be warmer this time, so some of us could be outside. :)
Should we actually go to the meeting this time, since Barbara will be heard?

Dave Ridley

Since I can't be there that day I'm trying to make up for it by sending out variations of the note below to folks who aren't on this forum much.  You can do the same.

Howard:

I wanted to invite you to a new protest in Hampton, on Thu, Feb. 17.   The city
zoning board is having their rescheduled inquisition of 95 year old Myrtle Woodward's
family, attempting to fine them almost 200K over minor violations.  Actually we're not even
sure there have *been* any violations. Details on the protest are at

http://forum.soulawakenings.com/index.php?topic=256.0

Can you help spread the word so that we can keep the pressure on with big turnout?
Also would like to invite you to participate i that forum if you're not already
involved; it's now the most active forum in New Hampshire and the main hub of Free
Stater activity inside NH.

Thanks ...

Dave

Kat I don't have any new ideas yet for the protest but do think it is important to focus on turnout.  We had so many last time it will be hard to repeat the numbers.  But if we have half as many as last time it's going to look like we don't have staying power.

Hmmmm I wonder if a sign or two along a Hampton area highway might be good....

Maybe it could say

Can anyone do this?  I can't, but I am doing it for Unity.  here's how:  go by your local Staples, get the biggest white poster board they have, a black permanent marker and a 6'' and 3""stencil kit for coloring in the letters.  You can put them up along any state highway on the right of way, just nail em to a tree.  I think its best to put them up a bit outside city limits.

Your kit will come in handy again.

We do need something on our index page that references this event more clearly and is obvious to see.

Dave Ridley

Hampton you get boo koo karma for that , thanks a ton.

Russell Kanning

So what are we going to do this time? Do we want signs outside? Many people in the meeting?
How many locals are going to be coming and filling up the room?

Russell Kanning

Yea... bring any spare signs to the zoning meeting. I guess however many of us can't fit inside can just make a scene outside.

hamptoninsider

You guys were respectful and got the messages across very effectively.  I would not recommend doing anything differently.  People are afraid of repercussion, people did not attend/ speak at deliberative session so I've been told.

Russell Kanning

It would be great to get some Winnacunnet kids to protest.
Who are they?

The Hampton High School is called Winnacunnet High School.
