I thought a mensch was a "Real Man".

I think you are right Kat, but it has been stretched to me a REAL PERSON sometimes too.
But yes, Russell is a REAL MAN!   :D

LOL :)  Internet shopping...it's the way to go.

Not to get back to the subject or anything, but I think it's a good idea for the Tuath to substitute for AAA :)

Yes, and my mechanic meanwhile said he would be happy to get me the battery and put it in on his way home, no charge. So it will be done either today or tomorrow and thanks for offering of help!

Now that is a mechanic.

......isn't that how Dawn and Bill's relationship started? ;)

Middle Age Man and Drinking Buddy are characters from an SNL skit with Mike Myers
He knows about escrow and plumbing ..... and comes to save the day.

Did it? How cute.

But my mechanic is being paid to do this and he is a married man thank god.

Why, it almost seems that you and Kat are trying to fix my angst and frustration in some other way.... LOL
Don't forget, the black widow, after she mates, kills the mate and then devours him.

It wouldn't last.  >:D

I'm an SNL and Myers fan but don't remember that one...

I'm not sure what pro-government lobbying the AAA does, or, what the impact is. ?I consider my payment to them as insurance, not like anti-gun, rob the young AARP.
I pay them 85 bucks a year.
Last summer while on my way to the Dumas barbeque in Somersworth, my van died on 95. I called AAA and a guy came and towed ?me 10 miles to a garage for analysis. He left and towed some more cars. The diagnosis was nearly fatal, so the guy came and towed me to Hartford. ?3 miles over the 100 mile limit, $9.00.
A couple of days later I concluded i didn't have the tools to repair my engine. ?Called AAA and they towed me 15 miles to my uncles place. ?We did the mechanicals, but, couldn't solve an ignition problem due, pretty much because our diagnosis abilities stop at about 1975. ?AAA comes and tows me 5 miles to an auto electric guy. ?No further charges!
I will always carry AAA.

No actually, I devoured him and he's gone... LOL!

It's hard to survive the black widow.  :)

I had a bad experience in the 70's with triple A so I never went back with them.
My insurance does cover towing, but that is rarely needed with newer cars.
A battery is easy enough to carry over to wherever the car is and I should have replaced that one when I replaced the other one.....

My fault!

They usually install them where they sell them.

Yeah but then you gotta get the car back to there, and it's a few minutes of work for another $75....

I just know that AAA lobbys for government to enforce day-time running lamps, and air-bags, and traffic light cammera's, etc.

I guess we'll keep them for another year.

Well, it's a pretty low yearly rate right? Just use them as much as they can so you get the most bang for your buck and they can't use your money to lobby!
