The dinner is going to be November 28th, Thanksgiving day, from noon until 6pm.

They are seeking folks to help out. We are unable to attend but think it's a great idea.

Also they are doing a Shire Sharing (www.shiresharing.org) in Grafton this year, organized out of the church. The plan will be to build the baskets on the Saturday before Thanksgiving (Nov 23) and then deliver them on Nov 24. They're also still looking for needy recipients in town.

J'raxis 270145 is a point of contact here.

The painted stuff looks even better in the winter.

Dang Hippies! Get a job.

They do - as painters! ;D

It does look cheerful... Free Staters bring color to Grafton.

Hey they don't want none of that Freedom or Color shoved down their throats!

I'm taking the "Get a job" :) idea to another thread: http://nhunderground.com/forum/index.php?topic=26074.0

Anywho:
For Shire Sharing up this way, I now have a list of 5 families (total 12people) who we can assist, and we are
continuing to look for more.
1 local guy who knows all of these folks (whom we have so far) has offered to help us get
this done.
1 family is in Canaan, and lives right on this end of Rt. 4, so they will be easy to
deliver to.
Peace,
John

This sounds like something I'd like to participate in and record.

I hope you can: Shire Sharing, Grafton edition. :)

I won't be home until after the holidays, but I do know the Lancaster/Littleton area already has private efforts along these same lines. Once we get past the stress of getting me actually and finally settled in NH, I hope to join that local movement, hook up with other liberty loving folks, and maybe we can make some videos to spread the word.

From Jeremy's email to Peaceful Assembly Church supporters email group:

Hi, all,

The Thanksgiving dinner was a success today. We had 20, perhaps 30
people throughout the whole day, some arriving right around noon,
others a few hours later. Turkey, stuffing, candied yams, salads, half
a dozen pies of different kinds, and a few other dishes were enjoyed by
all. I think we had a total of four turkeys cooked.

Thank you to the people who lent the kerosene and propane heaters and
fuel, and the food warmers. The heat donation plate, which will go to
cover the use of John's oil furnace, totalled $43 at the close of the
event.

There's more than enough turkey, stuffing, salad, and a few other items
left over, so if anyone wants to stop by tomorrow for some more
food---to eat there or take home---come on over.
